When it is added automatically to "Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall"
Is that final decision? WfC can't do any more?
I notice Tinywall does not do this.

    This snap is probably normal?
Yet the windscibe beta was added also.
Can give you the snap if needed (back to stable now).

I do not understand what the question is ? What can't do WFC anymore ? What is a final decision ?

That list contains an alternative way to enable or disable your existing firewall rules (including disabled rules). The same result (enable/disable) can be accomplished from Rules Panel from WFC. If you remove certain firewall rules, then you won't see them in that list anymore, that's all.

What I was trying to ask is why winscribe it is added automatically to "Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall"
Is it just because they are looking for an inbound connection? If it is added is it safe to leave it?

I also notice Farcry 3 or 4 also tries to add to "Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall"

Why cant WFC stop it from being added?

You said "These security alerts can be disabled from Windows Firewall and are not configurable from Windows Firewall Control.
How would I disable the alerts, the change settings button is greyed out in the ."Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall" window, must be another setting?

Thank you for letting me ask a lot of questions, still kind of new to Windows firewall/ WFC.

i guess because WFC by default creates only outbound rules

Windows Firewall w/ advanced setting > windows firewall properties > select the profile > settings customize > inbound connections > display notification > No

Use Secure Rules feature from WFC to stop unwanted programs registering themselves into Windows Firewall. Press F1 in any WFC window to open the user manual and read how Secure Rules works.
Check the screenshot below. Unchecking those check boxes will disable Windows Firewall alerts. You won't be notified again when a program wants to open a port to listen for incoming traffic and those programs will be silently blocked.

What would be the difference from what "guest" posted; "Windows Firewall w/ advanced setting > windows firewall properties > select the profile > settings customize > inbound connections > display notification > No"
    and the screen-shot "alexandrud" posted?

    FWIW ~ F1 calls bing.com/search?q=how+to+get+help+in+windows+10&filters
I need shift + F1 in any WFC window to open the user manual. YMMV

After doing a Macrium Refelct restore, shows WFC not activated. Was when I did the incremental yesterday.

No difference. Just two ways of doing the same thing.
Even if WFC window is focused ? I can't reproduce this on neither of my systems, Windows 10, Windows 7, virtual machines. Maybe you have some global keys assigned on this machine ?
Just activate it again. Probably during a backup restore something is different.

    Thanks.
Reflect never had a bad restore. That key must be very well guarded.

It seems that this version 5.0.0.2 gets flagged by windows 10 fall creators edition antivirus and it deletes wfcs, which means you cannot run the service and it crashes the firewall program.

A signed wfcs will be needed sooner or later. Well much more soon than expected.

It isn't the first time. Please read below about a similar false positive from Windows Defender for WFC installer from a year ago:

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...-by-binisoft-org.347370/page-105#post-2617557

Use the same steps to add wfcs.exe in the exclusions list of Windows Defender. This false positive will be fixed in a future definitions database from Microsoft.

    Blank screen on Connections Log

    High CPU/Memory usage

And after right clicking on system tray icon it crashes

I will install this new version of Windows 10 on my machine to see what is going on. I am glad to see that Microsoft keeps backwards compatibility with recent software developed with and for their platform. :(

As I promised, I did a fresh copy install of the latest Windows 10 ISO available on MSDN on my laptop, not in a virtual machine. Below is a screenshot. Windows Update installed the latest few updates and I updated also Windows Defender definitions database.

Then, I was able to install WFC 5.0.0.2 without problems. Windows Defender reported nothing. Connections Log apparently works, notifications are displayed, everything works as expected. However, I was able to reproduce once the problem with Connections Log and I had to restart WFC and now I can't reproduce it. Anyway, there are some errors and warnings in WFC log (with this Windows build) which I will try to fix in the next few days.

For the ones of you that have encountered problems, did you install a clean copy of Windows, or this version was installed through Windows Update ?

@alexandrud in my case, and as i said, it was a clean install. It doesn't happen all the time, most of the time WFC works but since the clean install i was able to get this behavior a few times already.

Nice tool, just bought it, but I got no password to log into my web account it seems. Not that I really need it though.
No issues with my win10, so far so good. Is it ok if I deleted all other rules from the other groups, and let it work in learn mode?
    Multumesc!

Connections log working here on the Win10 FCU also. Updated from windows update this morning. I can't confirm nor deny about the false positive. I disabled Windows Defender long time ago. It caused fps drops in my games at random all the time.

Regarding the lost activation status, what version of CCleaner do you use ? Try to go back to version 5.26 or install the latest version 5.36.6278 of CCleaner.
