I suppose FF x64 may not be affected then ... I also see that uB0 has been updated to 1.14.4 now. I can't follow all the sequence of the chit-chat, but it may still be safer to downgrade to 1.13.8 as I am on FF 55.0.3, and switch off update till FF 57? @Brummelchen I always have backups. Btw, it is a PITA that Mozilla removed the version no. from add-ons some time ago. There is an add-on to bring it back, but I think it will not be ported to WebExtension. Edit: @mood Thanks, I saw your post here, where this discussion should have been, so I guess 1.14.4 should be OK now, and I don't have to do anything. I never experienced any loss of settings.
the idea behind removing the version number was to not overwhelm user with informations he cannot handle or he dont care, if so he always can go details. showing the version number requires an xml and firefox as chrome prohibit such modifications on its own sites (see also AMO or chrome store) from my view chrome had it solved much better - the list may longer but its full featured with infomations. not sure if the issue has been solved with 1.14.4 - the ebay issue was solved but there are issues between uBo and other extension, eg lastpass to name/blame. if some experiences issues he should step back to 1.13.8 and wont lose nothing.
No apparent problems with 1.14.4, but reverted back to 1.13.8 for now, just in case, till this one shakes itself out. Edit: ... on my main (legacy) profile, at least. On my trial 'FF 57' profile, I backed up settings, updated to 1.14.4, restored settings.
Working fine for me, but then I'm still using Firefox v27.0.1, with useragent modified to look like I'm using Win7x86 and the current version of FF.

This morning, my Firefox decided to update itself, and I lost all my add-ons, my bookmarks, etc... I have a new folder on my desktop, "Old Firefox Data". How could I restore my old Firefox?
it is a session cookie and will only last for the current session: uMatrix: And usually session cookies have no "expiry-date" which can be seen here: NirSoft Chromecookiesview:
saw this later, too bad. i hope they will keep this switch as long as possible - the ne design is crap and its search is broken, maybe downloads too, not sure, read some issues about it. but when on that page manually creation of "mamo" and "content "off" is currently possible. and i dont knoa a cookie extension to keep or save or auto recover cookies. my experiments were negativ. pity
