Using the latest version for 31 days. This is by far the best free AV out there! Good job, Kaspersky!
No, no problems here. People often use more than one real-time security program. Maybe that's the case? Did you import certificate? https://support.kaspersky.com/general/error/13529
Hi all And now here are the German Kaspersky Free Antivirus http://www.chip.de/news/Kaspersky-F...on-des-Testsiegers-zum-Download_88259001.html With best Regards Mops21
Italian language is available too https://www.kaspersky.it/downloads/thank-you/free-antivirus-download
Another reason I won't use Kaspersky again: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/invest...rsky-software-n808101?cid=public-rss_20171005
Ok, don't. A couple of NSA contractors took home some stolen data and claims are made that they were hacked and it was stolen from them, and it's an AV company we can't trust... ok.
NSA lost multiple remote 0day's for multiple platforms/architectures then people speculate a company that first DETECTED them is toast.
You all been paranoid, lol. Dutch version for Belgium and The Netherlands (includes french for Luxemburg) https://www.kaspersky.nl/free-antivirus
Where are the evidences? https://usa.kaspersky.com/about/pre...nal-in-an-article-published-on-october-5-2017 We aggressively protect our users and we're proud of it. | Nota Bene: Eugene Kaspersky's Official Blog
That's the problem. Mr. Kaspersky's response is exactly like Putin's. You don't reveal how you determined the intrusion, because it would give them the information to circumvent your ability to guard against future intrusions.
You can take an interest in security and use an antivirus without being paranoid. I've never been even the slightest bit paranoid when it comes to security.
I've never tried KAV free but this recent hysteria has sparked my interest. I might try it now just because.
Sigh, here we go again. Free until they annoy me enough to remove their program. I don't want "special offers", and nor do I want any other free applications. Bye bye, KAV.
Thats rubbish, registering doesn't harm you in any way. I run KAV free since more than 60 days and have registered it from beginning. No spam and no advertisments so far.
There is a registry change you can make to stop that. Unfortunately the exact setting for it is on my work computer so I can't tell you what it is at the moment. Edit- I remembered it was somewhere I could remote in to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\KasperskyLab\AVP18.0.0\Data\UCPRegistrationAlert "state" Change "0" to "2"
That's your opinion. I don't want yet another account and I don't want or need "special offers" or other "free applications". Each to their own. Thanks xxJackxx. If I revisit KAV free I will check it out.
Re: being hounded with email, you might consider a throw-away address. http://www.yopmail.com/en/ I have used it for years. You don't even have to check it.
I also don't see the paranoia in being careful. A-V comparatives reported that Kaspersky uploads suspicious files, not just executables, but also non-executables such as documents to their servers, located in Russia. By Russian law any Internet data going through Russian servers must be retained for one year to enable government access when requested.
I think this should give people a good idea on which side of the argument I am on...You got my support big dog! How stable is kaspersky free and what's the resource usage?
