installed 4.05b, created rules for Yandex with Digital Signature and File Insight, VS totally ignored them and kept popping up, when i tried to create a new rule, it said "rule already exists"
    disabled rules, turned on Autopilot...

it seems to totally ignore rules when it's a child process, Yandex opened just fine but once extensions started loading, VS freaked out even though there was a rule in place.

4.05b has been released. I would try that and see if you get the same results.

Now regedit.exe is blacklisted with no way to turn off prompts without disabling VoodooShield. That's not all. While it is for security reasons, I don't need a software nanny lol.

Seriously, I'd prefer not to have security software that gets in my way every time I (or background processes) need to install/update/modify something. And I'd have to set it up all over again soon.

Plus, my license will expire and Dan isn't even here anymore... I don't think security in case of highly unlikely events is worth regular annoyances. Nothing is 100% secure anyhow. So bye bye VoodooShield.

I just want to remind everyone that what Dan has been working on is a beta. It's not a final product. I would encourage people to not make decisions based upon beta's; instead wait and see what the final released version looks like and does. Making a decision now on a beta release (or beta releases) may not be a good decision.

If you choose to install the beta then you must to be prepared to accept all the problems you may encounter.. But instead of whingeing and whining, report them to the author or better still post your issues in the forum where the developer is active.

IMHO If you choose to stop using VS because the beta is not working 100% then you are doing Dan and VS a real disservice. Your comments are also harming the excellent reputation of VS.

I'm not really dissing on VS but as per my post here I'm just lightening the load on my machines. VS is a great program but I'm not sure I really need it, that's all.

    Each to their own.

You can always sent a mail to Dan (support at voodooshield.com).
If you want a rock stable VS then use 3.59. Version 4 is still in beta with bugs.

Pretty much all VS version have been causing a “ delay “ for me, let's say I run a program (.exe) file, the explorer, the window, and the file I'm about launch freezes for 1 minute ---> forever, it depends, not the same every time.

And i have had this for all versions. Have been lurking these threads as well and followed all the tips etc with no success. Any ideas? Thanks.

Running 4.05b here in AutoPilot and working perfectly with no registration or any other issues at all.

VS not feeling like a beta now as it's so good. I like the new rules utility which so far I haven't had any need to create but probably at some time in the future I'm sure it will be a most useful addition to what I consider to be essential software on my computer and I would never want to be online without.

Dan... if you are still reading posts here... fantastic work and dedication from you.

I just wanted to say this to balance out some of the other posts here.

clean your programdata/voodooshield folder after uninstalling VS or just simply click on "delete all settings and whitelist" when uninstalling.
if this still happens after install, try the 3.59 version.

You probably need to post your system specs and everything you run in real-time if you want to get useful ideas.

I was actually still using 3.59, but I don't think 4.0 will change what I say without fundamentally changing the way VoodooShield protects the system. There is an autopilot mode that will probably be improved, but someone with a rather dynamic system like me will always need to mess with the whitelist. I highly doubt I will be infected outside of truly extraordinary situations.

Could not agree more my brother, and I better stop there.
This thread is painting a picture, Dan needs to stop in and see this. I'll SS it for him. PeAcE
All I will say is I remember here a time when Dan was respected and treated kindly here, he didn't want to leave trust me, but was left with no suitable solution. You think he is not sad about this ?
Friendship isnt based off of free software, or making folks comfortable, its sticking in there with the good & the bad, at least that's how I was raised.
That is all I will say on the matter. Take it with a grain of salt ;)

I also use this software version 3.5.9 and it is really great soft.
Expected for versions 4 but she is still in beta.
I have great appreciation for Dana and his contribution to this program but it takes some time for version 4 to be bug free so I wait patiently and hopefully everything will be fine.:)

Those people that got hit by Stuxnet and many other "extraordinary" situations over the years would surely have been pleased to have had VS installed and prompt them when something odd was happening?

And it was installed on hardware not their computers.
