It's batched on a future version (likely 5.3.x or 5.4)

    Yes you are.

Perhaps you have or added it before to ignore list. If you added a program to ignore list by right-clicking on it > Delete or Ignore, it gets added to that list, then when you want to add it again to "watched/monitored" programs, you can't.

Go to Tools > Edit ignore list... > Remove (select the program first)

Btw.: The developer of WizTree forgot to add a new version number (should be v3.0) :cautious:

LOL, you're right. Even worse, he forgot to add it to 32-bit version too and it shows as 1.0.0.0 :p

After extracting of the portable version and adding it (Custom Folders), SUMo should be able to detect it (32-bit + 64-bit)
    WizTree_portable_version.png
Or it has been "skipped" :cautious:
Navigate to c:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\KC Softwares\SUMo\ and look into the file "SUMo.skipped", maybe it is mentioned there.
    Or: "ignore.sumo"
Edit: Oh, there is a menu entry for editing of both lists (ignored and skipped applications)
"File Description" and "Productname" is also missing :geek: At least the digital signature has not been forgotten ;)

    You're perfectly right.
I'd suggest to report the issue to its developper. You can propose him to join us here and i'll help him getting properly listed in SUMo.

I'd wish not to be a partyp**per but I don't believe he's going to accept. One main reason is that he releases a new version every year or more.

    Thanks all!

Wasn't skipped or ignored. I never even knew there had been a version 2.0 before, because of the incorrect version numbers, and SUMo not picking it up.

I have added it separately now, even though it was within the 'My Portable Applications' folder that I had already added, and SUMo is now picking it up (not that it will help if the dev forgets to update the versions). I wonder if there could be other softs, that need to be added separately
:D Probably. Sent him a message anyway.

Response from dev (I pointed him to this thread): Thanks for the email. Oops! :) I'll fix it in the next release.

First, if not already done i'd suggest to UNcheck "reload before check" in settings.
A quick "reload" is don in order to update/check file path and re-read local version numbers. May be challenged for future version if allows to speed up process. I'll check and keep you informed !

Please reread what I originally stated: "I have no options checked except show file path". Unchecking that option doesn't do beans. IMO once the list is loaded for a session, it should not have to be reloaded again unless the user selects a new scan. The same is true when checking the option to scan for new SW at startup. No need to load the old list before doing the scan.

That new, last sentence is clear.
But your previous statement was not clear, as I mentioned earlier.
"I have no options checked except show file path" could mean you have no options manually checked except show file path, additional to default settings.Your original statement did not make clear you have all default options unchecked, including Reload list before check (and you checked Show file path).
You cannot blame Kyle for misunderstanding, if you offer Kyle your earlier statement, that was open for multiple interpretation.

Sorry if I gave the impression that I was blaming someone for not understanding what I wrote. I must have misinterpreted his response by asking Kyle to reread my post . Now that's settled, let's focus on the actual problem of how to avoid the redundancy of reloading app-lists . That is why I have only one setting checked (the rest unchecked) as an ad hoc solution.

Also noticed that Open Log file from the help tab doesn't open anything even though there is a log file in C:\Users\**************\AppData\Roaming\KC Softwares\SUMO

Another question I have for Kyle is, why is it necessary foe SUMO to contact its servers continuosly every minute after SUMO is finished loading?

    I cannot confirm that issue.
On my system, SUMo\ Help\ Open Log File (Ctrl+L) correctly opens the SUMo log file.
