Has anyone heard what will happen to the temporary free license Dan gave us? I am thinking bye bye to that.

I am assuming if he migrates user data that should all go with it.

installed 4.0 beta, so far so good, the rule sets are amazing, finally can get rid of yandex installer and other things.

share rule sets with the community, damn, waiting for some sweet rules boys :D

noticed some consistent url opening speed, used to differ based on the URL, nice.

After uninstalling, rebooting, installing the 4.0beta, and rebooting, voodooshield does not start on startup and have to start manually

No clue what to do with the Web Management Console. Was there a guide somewhere? Otherwise, I'll lurk around picking up what I can.

So I guess, that version 4 will be for a limited audience only. After 50 popups in 3 mins, just about the browser, I got rid of it. :cautious:

seem to have fixed after restarting my computer.
also after disabling auto-sync settings / whitelist to the cloud, saving is terribly slow.

I have never uninstalled before now, I always installed over the top as well. I just added VoodooShield.exe back to the registry in HKLM-Software-Microsoft-Windows-CurrentVersion-Run and all is well.

Having the same problem as @boredog. On MT Dan requested those with the same issue to PM him theirs emails and he will look into it.

@shmu26: yes I read that post a few times; the wizard specifies AUTOPILOT mode and the rationales which were very helpful, so I'll keep it there instead of SMART until further notice. Still perplexed by the Web Management Console, oh well. Not seeing whether there is a self-protection feature right now; a lot of people reported nasty startup issues, but some didn't and requested this feature be somehow included.

Same problem as boregog also, plus after installing with admin account cannot get VS to load with Guest Account. BTW, still have problem with prior beta not loading in Guest Account unless I Disable VS in admin account before switching. Anyone else still having that issue?

"I figured we would initially have issues with the registration, and I am just going to have to work through them.

I made a change on the server, and the issue is probably fixed.

If anyone is still having problems with registration, please go to VoodooShield Settings / Register, and click the big Reset Registration button at the bottom. This will reset the registration and close VS. You will need to manually start VS (just this once), and you should be able to complete your registration. If not, please let me know. I have received a lot of emails, and I am going to copy and paste a link to this post in my reply.

Also, if VS is not starting on Windows startup, it is probably because the old service was set to (Automatic) Delayed Start. In this case, you can either manually change the VoodooShieldService Startup Type to Automatic, or you can just uninstall VS 4.0, reboot the computer, and reinstall it.

Besides these two issues, we are in pretty good shape... much better than I expected considering all of the changes that were made. There are a few bugs in the error reporting system, but they are easy fixes. Thank you guys! "

    VS working fine now:thumb:

Yeah, I reinstalled the release 3.59. Despite following the instructions twice, VS 4.0 beta is still popping up with registration request at every startup. Also noticing prolonged shutdowns that I didn't have with 3.59 but nothing's showing in event viewer. That's as far as I'm taking it. Maybe I'll try this some other time, it did look promising.
