    The 'chrlauncher' program can do everything automatically for you as far as updates go. There are quite a few options to modify to your liking in the config file as well.

    Yes. For example the "check for updates"-intervall can be changed ("Check for new Chromium version once in X days"), and a new version can be downloaded & installed automatically ("
    auto download update and install it! (default)"), and much more.

    Well that sounds just lovely! Gonna check it out! What exactly are the prime differences between this and, let's say Iridium?

    current v60, so 58 is outdated and vulnerable.
    although many features disabled by default some ahs to switch in chromium first there left only few (2-3?) really different options.

    nice but if not current i would prefer security instead features.

    so chrlauncher can only be used with the portable version?
    I'm using the Installer with Current stable version, do I have to visit the site and check for new updates every time?

    yep, loaded it this morning. Win8 running x86, Win10 running x64 but not often, its not my working system. long awaited x64 build ^^
