AVG ? not really . i bought a 2 year total security for all my computers and smartphones and am really disappointed. It is very buggy with the update and it even reverted into free version once . Its support is OK but this is not enough

Thats the version i have. It appears i looked version number from wrong place in avast

They have stopped distribution of this newest update and are working on a fix.

 

Good to know, thanks. Do you know if it's a firewall problem? I've had problems before where the Avast firewall would block access to legit sites.

 

It was a problem with web shield, but they have now fixed it via streaming updates and it's now safe to update avast

issue was fixed by streaming updates.
Fix is present in streaming updates "c:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\17083106_stream\pkg1708310600000001.bin" and earlier.

Avast Antivirus - The AV which is always in BETA!

 

And yet, still works awesome.

 

Fact of the matter--Even the normal versions of 2017 are quite stable as compared to previous versions of past years atleast in my experience.

Cant forgot those buggy and rushed builts.
