I was just over looking at MT and could not find any mention of version 4.0 mentioned.

I for one was not happy with the trouble makers in that thread at all!!!!!!!
The mods don't mention when regular users get the boot but as you mentioned when a dev is involved some sort of explanation would be nice.

Every so often, things get "shaken out" on the forum. Things which had been growing more concerning, (conflicts, complants, running arguments, and so one), come to a head, and then something has to be done. It's no secret, at least for anyone paying attention in a few of the product and testing threads, that there was ongoing conflict between a few members. Some were angry, others defensive, and still others frustrated by it all. Many complaints have been reported over the past few months.

Recently it did all come to a head. So, we had a few communications and made a few adjustments. I'm not going into specific details here because of our policy of not discussing individual member statuses. But, this is not unlike past occurrences when a situation blew up and changes got made.

Things like this happen in long running forums where people have strong opinions, and take firm and sometimes unyielding positions.

LowWaterMark, thank you for explaining that.

I guess it's now a bit sad regarding VS and how users like myself who had no interest in the war of words will proceed with future updates.

Yeah, guest had it right, I know because I've had a brief passing knowledge (hello). A real shame as anti-exe is becoming a staple product and the brand doesn't matter in this context. It makes sense now.

    Thanks @LowWaterMark .

Firstly, I didn't realise action had been taken or I would not have started this thread. My apologies for that.

I too hope this is more of a time out rather than a banning but what ever shall be shall be. I guess there is no point in this thread continuing.

    Cheers,
    Dave
