Hi all, A few years ago, I used Yousendit.com or something like than whenever I wanted to send by mail a big file to someone. Nowadays, dropbox and other cloud services have arrived but I find it less efficient for occasional transfer. Could someone recommend an equivalent, with no account creation preferably (or a light one). I see that WeTransfer seems to fit in. Any feedback on this service ? Thanks.
Same here. By the way, there's no need to use WeTransfer's standard option "Email to" and "Your email". By choosing the "link" instead of "email" option in the menu, you get a WeTransfer link that you can copy and send to the recipient.
I just tried a tiny little test via a new beta file transfer service from Firefox. Send https://send.firefox.com/ Up to 2 GB file size. Nice article about it https://www.howtogeek.com/321002/how-to-securely-send-large-files-to-anyone-with-firefox-send/ Worked ok for my very basic test (sent a one word text file)...
Just tried the link mode, very easy and efficient. Now I just have to wait to see if files have been downloaded Ok by the sendee (sorry, not sure about the right word).
You meant receiver? I've used WeTransfer few times and files were always downloaded with no problems.
