Guys/Gals, I was not sure where to post this. If there is a more appropriate thread specifically with regard to Google Chrome and built-in Windows process mitigations, please feel free to move this post.

Anyway, some great new stuff coming sometime in the future with Chrome supporting more process mitigations on Windows 10. The Dynamic Code mitigation is great as well and that one is supported on Windows 8.1 too.

I don't use Chrome often but I've noticed today that whenever I click any links it always opens in a new tab. Most of the time that's fine but I don't want every link opened in a new tab. Is there a way to stop that and make Chrome work just as all other browsers I've installed?

Edit: Never mind, I've fixed it. It was a setting in ScriptSafe.

Now they should change the advanced settings look back to the way they were.

To get the old look back, the "Material Design" for the settings-page can be disabled:
    chrome://flags/#enable-md-settings

Disabled Flags at chrome://flags/ will stay disabled :)

There is no guarantee that this flag will be available forever (with each new chrome version flags might be removed).
But as long as this flag is available, Material Design for the settings page will stay disabled.

Is there a way to prevent extensions from automatic update? I use SBIE which also prevents extension updates from applying after browser is closed, but switch or something similar would be better.

    Maybe :
Go to C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\UserData\Default\Extensions then choose the folder you want right click properties and select read only and apply for all subfolders and files.
