    Hello @boredog,

To get to the download page from any other AirVPN page, just click the "Enter" tab at the top of the page. That should work and if it does not I do not know what else to try. If you PM me your OS and bitness, I will PM you back the correct direct download link for the version you need.

From what I can tell when I installed AirVPN in April , I already had the latest version. I just downloaded the latest version and it is the same as my original version.

    Hello @boredog,

OK, you downloaded the latest stable version (2.12.4). If you want the latest experimental version, once you are on the Windows download page you need to click "Other versions" and select "Experimental" before you click "DOWNLOAD". This will give you the latest experimental version which at this time is 2.13.2.

Try the above and if it does not work for you, see your PM.

Is there a way to prevent Eddie from losing its setting every time I restart my system? It's very annoying that the xml file keeps getting overridden. That's the main reason why I use Viscosity.

    Hello @n8chavez,

Which setting are you trying to have Eddie remember?

    Hello @boredog,

I am no expert by any means but that "experimental" setting has to do with an alternate way to flush the DNS cache. I do not quite understand what that has do do with a third party firewall. I do know after speaking with the staff and the developer of Eddie, they are trying in the 2.13.x series to make the default settings the best for everyone. A lot of the advanced settings have been around for quite a while and are not really needed anymore. A lot of these settings will probably be removed in some future version. I used to set several of the advanced settings but with the 2.13.x versions I have left everything set to the default "out-of-the-box" and am not having any issues. Unless you are trying to solve some specific issue, I would advise to leave Eddie at default settings. Just my two cents....

It seems best on my system to tick that option. I have connection issues if it is left unticked.

The xml file containing all Eddie's sittings gets deleted if not closed before shutdown, as ShvFl said. To me that's absurd. Who closes apps before restarting? No one. I've been trying to get them to change this behavior for years, but to no avail. That's why I ditched eddie and starting using Viscosity, which relies on .ovpn files

I just use their generator to grab the opvn files. Then I change the DNS servers each config uses to 10.4.1.0 and 10.5.1.0, and terminate the process I want automatically if the VPN drops (killswitch script).

What I don't like about AirVPN is when I shut down my computer at the end of they day, all other programs are shut down but AirVPN. And so when I wake up in the morning and see my computer is still on, that has left my system wide open because my internet access is still on.
that should be a big no no. I don't always remember to shut down the AirVPN GUI before shutting down my computer.

Ditch Eddie and try Viscosity, using the method above. That'll solve it.

    Hello @boredog,

Be sure when you are on the download page that you click "Other versions" then "Experimental" before you click "Download" if you want the beta...

    Hello,

Eddie client 2.13.6 Stable has been released.
If you have been running 2.13.6 Experimental, there is no need to update as the Stable release is the same version as the Experimental.
