That's why I don't run consumer Windows - with new features, too much risk of something being broken.

I would not install it ( unchecked is a good indication of that).
I was just reading an article (dated today) that said it was released without being fully validated. MS issued a warning not to install it because of this.

.net Framework updates such as a new one like, that almost always come unchecked. They also seem to hate being installed alongside other updates and I always install them on their own.

Win 10 has it already in the Creators Update

They're always bugs present in a release as big as the next one. You may want to wait til they're fixed before doing an upgrade.

I think people have waited enough. That article was written back on April 11, 2017

Also as far as I have read, the Creator Update has been more stable than the Anniversary update with fewer bugs being reported on security blogs/websites. If there were any major issues they should have already been reported and fixed by now.

I have not received CU for my test system. I read that most Surface systems are not in line to receive the update (you would think they would be the first based on what MS says about system compatibility being their top priority for distributing this update). If you get it, you passed the MS compat test. ;) must be OK to install :doubt:. It is currently running on about 30% of W10 systems so it is going out at a crawl.

What do you mean "the next one"? Version 1703 was released in April, and since day one it has been possible to install it from the ISO. The next version, supposedly 1709, is not available yet.

I got 2664 the same day but just left it alone and did not hide it. Yesterday i noticed that it was gone and WU must have removed it.

This happens when an optional update is going to be relisted as 'recommended' update next Patch Tuesday.
June 7, KB2952664 was offered as optional update. It may be relisted as 'recommended' update on Patch Tuesday July 11. Let's wait and see.

    Thanks @Dragon1952 and @Stupendous Man,
It will, as you say, be very interesting to see if it resurfaces in a few days.

Still as optional update, or as 'recommended' update, now?
June 7, I hid optional update KB2952664, and it is still hidden.
