Thank you, I appreciate that! Since we are on the topic, I would like to mention that VS’s fans (you guys) are amazing… you guys have demonstrated this time and time again.

Thank you for supporting VS while remaining civil, intelligent and nice.

is there option in VS to change interaction with tray icon, I am used to (double) left click tray icon to open apps "main menu/setting" but with VS it will disable protection
if it is not possible then at least disable "left click to disable protection"

    btw
some info for problem with imdisk

There is not currently an option, but it would be super easy to add if everyone thinks we should. I like to keep our settings to a minimum... VS needs to be as simple as possible, and if you ask me, there are probably 5 or so settings we could probably remove. But if a lot of people think this is something we should add, then sure.

Hmmm, so maybe imdisk is just not compatible? Is that your understanding?

I have some I can post from when I was there a few years ago, but I do not think that is allowed. However, if it is allowed, I will do so ;).

We thank everyone for their continued support.

VoodooShield will continue to protect you from user space and kernel / system space attacks alike, while not requiring advanced configuration to do so, and it happens to be free.

    Enjoy ;).

Note: Advanced configuration of a security product does not guarantee that a kernel level attack will be blocked.

Several weeks ago I was researching VoodooShield on this forum
For memory it was this thread and with 16,000 odd posts that is a lot of reading

I plan on using free Bitdefender AntiVirus with VoodoShield.
in one of the earlier posts a contribuor advised that order of install is important
BD then VDS ? ... or ... VDS rhen BD ?

Would appreciate any feedback, thank you :)

BD is kller... combo it with VS and you are good to go.

I would probably install BD first, but it is tough to say for sure without testing ;).

Are there any discounts for VS going on now? I had one, but in revamping my pc, I seem to have lost my license number, so would like to get VS back the most economical way possible. Thanks I don't mind paying Dan for VS - just want to be somewhat frugal in doing so.

I don't mind if there is no option. Maybe after some time I will get used to it

For now, yes VS is not compatible with imdisk, unless
also there was similar problem here https://malwaretips.com/threads/voodooshield-unc-path-problem.63470/

It's and email address and password to activate VS there is no code at this time. If you never got an account setup from @VoodooShield Dan then send him a PM with your email address and he will set you up. I think we are able to install on up to 10 PC's...?

Just tested that for you... Installing BD Free works fine with VoodooShield on autopilot mode.

Very cool, thank you! It is kind of funny because it completely depends on the software which one is better to install first. I have combined VS with a couple of different products throughout the years, and sometimes it is easier to install VS first, and sometimes it is easier to install it last. It always works either way, but if you are working on 20-50 endpoints, figuring out the best way is always less frustrating ;). Typically, installing VS last is best... but that is not always the case ;).

Bitdefender normally wants all other security software to be uninstalled, but in this case it works with VS already installed. But I agree VS installing last is the safest option.

There are tons of usability features that I want to implement, and here are a couple of ideas I am working on.

One option is if the user left clicks on VS, something like this will appear so the user can easily switch modes.

    http://www.voodooshield.com/artwork/LeftClick.png

We can also create a setting that specifies what mode VS changes to when the user left clicks on VS... like this.

    http://www.voodooshield.com/artwork/LeftClick2.png

The problem is that I am currently spending way too much time on administrative / business tasks, customer service, etc., and have little time for development and talking to you guys about new ideas on how to improve VS.

I would rather develop VS and talk to you guys about how we can improve VS, rather than run the business side of VS... so we are in the process of figuring that out. Luckily, it appears that we have some interest from people / companies who are willing to make this happen.

The left click now shows a menu. Why change that?

I am confused ;). The left click should currently toggle VS to OFF. The right click shows a contextual menu, right?

We do have to change anything... these are just ideas, and I will run them by you guys first ;).
