I been meaning to try VB myself and keep saying it but still haven't gotten around to that just yet. But I can try again. Lets us know how it does in there.
EASTER It seems easy since MS has a VM for it free for three months. I will send you the link when I get time.
OK here is the link. https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/ I selected 10 preview for Virtual Box. Please see screen shot. I even install all it in SD at first. Anyway just install VB and add the file you downloaded and in zipped to VB. "Before installing, please note: These virtual machines expire after 90 days. We recommend setting a snapshot when you first install the virtual machine which you can roll back to later."
Thanks for sharing the link boredog. Now I only have to find the time to work it in. Only yesterday I D/L the IMDisk Toolkit and am pretty excited in leaning to put in place a Ram Disk. Remember doing this when it was all the rave on XP and really convenient but I haven't messed with it since then.
12.11.1 - Added detections - Fixed possible bug in MalPE scanner - Forced VT mitigation for MalPE scanner to avoid FPs
Well, I wanted to check if the VoodooShield false detection is fixed in 12.11.1, so I deleted the pre-existing RK folder in C:\Program Data which contains the VirusTotal cache and ran the latest RK (what a pain in the.... to obtain, here's the link for the current download: http://www.adlice.com/ ). So on here I can say that this latest RK version does not detect VS--that's good. Adlice must have gotten some feedback from users about having to do their whitelisting for them! If anyone has an issue with the Macrium executable, wonder how this version handles that false positive?
V12.11.8 - Fixed proxy persitence in Free mode - Fixed a bug in MalPE - Added detections - Updated translations
V12.11.9 - Added detections - Fixed POST requests with proxy - Fixed Upload timeout (crash upload/support form)
V12.11.10 - Added detections - Fixed issue with uploader (please note this will apply to next update)
Ilba, do you represent any of these products you post about. The forum response seems to be very underwhelming
It's just an on-demand scanner. It's pretty good if you can get around the false positives. .Appreciate the update info, @liba
