Good idea. Now to come up with a method to identify this application automatically. Will add this in one of the next builds.
Installed CTP3 over CTP2, rebooted and ran a scan from the Anti-Malware tile; it completed without incident
I could not type anything on any forum with 709 and reboot time went from 29sec to 44. Not desireable.
When you say you couldn't type anything do you mean the keyboard stopped working? If so try disabling Bad USB. Re the longer boot time was that the first boot after the upgrade? If so I would reboot again and time it.
I figured someone would ask questions like you did. On any fora means that the keybord worked but the text did not appear on the site. I did not try notepad etc though. Rebooted several times, same thing. Will wait for a better version. Now the Lomans will come and sak me to give a log of it all. No can do, went back to earlier image. Just giving the info for infos sake.
It's also working fine here. Sandboxie issue fixed. Also I was getting alert on PowerDVD17 that also appears fixed.
Yup I did end up doing that earlier and it worked. Not sure why OpenDNS would not download his file. I installed it but ended up ditching it. It was not able to check for updates, and it would not scan my PC. Would not generate any error in the gui other than Failed to scan or something of the sort. Did this happen to anyone else?
W7-x64 Prof.: Installed HMP.alert 3.7 build 709 CTP3 Beta over build 602. So far running without issues!
build 709--still getting CredGuard mitigation while using regedit. Otherwise it is running well since released, with no noticeable impact on machine so far.
Hello, I find all issues I reported for CTP-1 are now fixed. However beginning with CTP-2 and also with CTP-3 I am now experiencing the "BAD USB" bug first identified on the regular HMPA thread, where the "BAD USB" setting will not remain enabled. This occurred with clean install.
Clicking on the anti-malware tile, is says that it the real-time detection protects against "prevalent malicious files." What makes something prevalent? What makes something not prevalent? Can the real-time protection capabilities be trusted as the only resident anti-malware?
After running CTP3 for over 24 hours I'm pleased to say I have no bugs to report. I'm also happy to report the privately reported issues I had with CTP1 seem to be resolved, but I am using a different AV now though. One thing I have noticed is that the Windows start up tone doesn't seem to play now. Win10 x64 Norton Security 22.9.4.8 Malwarebytes 3.1.2 VoodooShield Nice work Erik and team!

Yes, i am also happy with CTP3. Only one cosmetic issue: The Event 811 can be seen in the Windows Event Viewer, each time after disabling of the Anti-Malware component: Code: Event Time Record ID Event ID Level Channel Provider Description 04.06.2017 19:08:16.000 529501 811 Warning Application HitmanPro.Alert Keystroke encryption is disabled. 04.06.2017 18:52:57.000 529349 811 Warning Application HitmanPro.Alert Keystroke encryption is disabled. 04.06.2017 18:51:48.000 529347 811 Warning Application HitmanPro.Alert Keystroke encryption is disabled. 04.06.2017 18:47:12.000 529345 811 Warning Application HitmanPro.Alert Keystroke encryption is disabled.
Is anyone noticing these Time-Service warnings? With CTP2 and 3 these appear in Event Viewer, specifically at startup, just once each time. How about critical event 41--Windows did not shut down properly? The only cause/effect I could find so far was to uninstall CTP3 and reinstall 602 to check. No such events with 602 so far. With CTP3, there are no apparent impacts on machine at all. Changing windows time to nist.gov and flushing/resetting DNS didn't resolve the warning with CTP3 installed. Fast startup is enabled. Edit: No, the Time-Service event showed up again with 602 as well. I'll look elsewhere for the cause(s). Maybe disabling fast startup will help. Edited 6/6/17
Just observed heavy slowdowns in the file explorer of various softs during files/folders enumeration.
Upgraded build 709 CTP3 from 3.6.593 version... no problems so far... But... (always there is a but...) i had a false positive about this file: HelperFor64Bits from Soft Organizer. HMP.A detect it as a malware and ask to start a scan
