I had already registered mine. Does this mean we can remove the serial number they gave it when we registered?

Might take a while for the FAA to catch up with this ruling, so I don't know yet.

"New Jersey Legislators Approve Penalties For Drunk Droning

New Jersey state legislators approved a ban on operating drones while inebriated on Monday, approving legislation that would punish drunk or high pilots with up to six months in prison or a $1,000 fine 39-0 in the State Senate and 65-0 in the State Assembly..."

The No Drinking while Droning Law defines a drone as follows

“'Unmanned aircraft' means an aircraft that is operated without the possibility of direct human intervention from within or on the aircraft."

    http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2016/Bills/A9999/5205_I1.HTM

The N.J. Drone Law does not define aircraft.

There are two general definitions of "aircraft":

Websters: a vehicle that is capable of flight
("a vehicle is a machine that can carry/transport people or goods.")

Oxford Dictionary: a machine that is capable of flight

This Law is clearly not aimed aimed at "vehicles."

Sooo, while it is not a good idea to fly a R/C toy airplane while under the influence in any state, it appears that there will be a risk of being found guilty of committing a legal infraction to fly a R/C toy airplane while under the influence in New Jersey.

"Want to make six figures? Try being a drone pilot

Despite what some call an oversaturated market, these freelance drone pilots say they’re making more than $100,000 a year...

'You can earn a couple hundred bucks for a package of real estate photos,' said Denver-based drone pilot Vic Moss, who is also a co-owner of the online community Drone U. 'Flying drones part-time can earn you $500 or $600 a week, and by flying full-time, you can make six-figures annually. Flying for big name companies can net you $3,500 a day.'...”
