Release Candidate can be downloaded from here: https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=364653
    Activate with these beta codes:
    - KFA: TPXR8-QC323-2NZC9-TEA4J
    - KAV: XTN1Z-53MY9-1UNY6-XQVQH
    - KIS: ZF1K7-FMYAC-ZZWB1-NESZJ
    - KTS: BYK9U-EHE8S-J1WY8-SG1CN
    There's a new product in the 2018 lineup: https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=357169

No official changelog, but there are no big new features over v2017.

Official build which accepts commercial codes will be posted in the (near) future on the official website. If you're eager to test the Release Candidate out with a beta code for 90 days, download it from the posted link.

I saw this in their forums a couple of days ago. Still trying to decide whether to install it on my laptop or wait for the version that takes commercial keys... I already have the 2017 version installed. I've only tried the RC in a VM. Has anyone tried it on a real machine? Does it perform any better or worse than 2017?

Does the 2018 KAV still include the bloat Hotspot Shield in the Antivirus?

You can uninstall it with its own uninstaller from Control Panel...

Just saw that the latest build is now officially TR. Does anyone know if it's already accepting commercial keys?

No, the installers posted in that thread accept beta keys only, as the licensing is tied to the installer, not the activation server. That's why I haven't mentioned the TR status, since people would try their commercial codes.
When the installer is posted on official servers it will accept commercial codes.

When will it be released and accept normal codes?

I doubt anyone has a date but watch their forums as it will turn up long before it is released to their website.

Also, to answer my own question above, I installed it on my laptop and find there is no noticeable difference from 2017. Not a complaint, just an observation. I assume the "Prevent infection during operating system restart" option is the main selling point here.

Is there any news about the release of the 2018 version?

It's still only been released as TR. They are working on patch A which should make it compatible with the Creators Update for Windows 10 and they should release sometime soon after it, from what I have heard. I am waiting for it myself.

That's an interesting joke, but I have a Russian TR KIS/KTS installer that already accepts commercial licenses (depending on licensed code typed will change to the appropriate product) working fine, changing SHIFT + FF12 into English language language GUI... pm me if You want the installer :) currently testing Patch A with it...

You have to change the language on every system restart don't you?
