    Hm. From that I understood medium mode is essentially 3rd party filters PLUS Dynamic filtering of 3d party scripts and frames. I can confirm that when I disable blocking 3rd party scripts and frames, I do get redirected to Forbes. Is this to be expected?

    Can you help me with the appropriate filters to use in order to unblock the video in this site http://www.antenna.gr/minisites/daddy-cool/watch/daddy-cool-episodio-16-2os-kiklos.
    I try but the only way was to white-list the site completely.
    Thanks in advance.

    Maybe the script that closes welcome screen is blocked by dynamic filtering? Try disabling 3rd party filtering only for Forbes and see if that helps.

    I've been trying the latest uBO for Edge and so far it looks to be more stable than earlier builds. Nice work dev' team! :thumb:

    I also get stuck on that page, perhaps it depends on the referrer page. But normally speaking I will often see a "quote of the day" page, and I have to wait for 5 seconds before I can close it.

    Weird, then it must be one of your filters, because I can only manually close it.

    Here is a list of filters that I use (+ EU Prebake and cosmetic filtering enabled):

    Yes. As clearly stated, blocking 3rd-party scripts or frames can lead to site breakage. You experienced a site breakage, so the next step is to un-break it -- a necessary task a user of medium mode must accept. For the specific case at hand, just locally noop forbesimg.com, make the rule permanent with padlock.

    Anybody knows what rule shall i write to avoid this script being executed? It displays an annoying popup in some blogs

    <script>(function(d, s, id) {
    var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
    if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
    js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
    js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.4";
    fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
    }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>

    For users of Chrome-browsers, It can help to install the extension uBlock Origin Extra in addition to uBlock Origin.
    "to gain ability to foil early anti-user mechanisms working around content blockers or even a browser privacy settings"

    I visited the website above and couldn't see any "adblock-detection" :cautious:

    I run ublock origin with basically everything blocked (social, etc.) and have been using dynamic filtering to manually re-enable working rules for sites. On the NYT, when you scroll down on a page a bar appears across the top with the "share bar" on the top right:

    upload_2017-4-12_17-14-49.png

    Currently, I have the following settings:

    upload_2017-4-12_17-16-40.png

    which lets me see:

    upload_2017-4-12_17-17-6.png

    I would like to show the bookmark icon, which allows me to save articles to my own account on the NYT. Using incognito and inspector on chrome, I can see that its called the `save-sharetool`. Using UBO's logger, and filtering by share I see:

    upload_2017-4-12_17-19-45.png

    But I dont see the save-sharetool there. Can someone provide some help? Also, how would I have gone by figuring this out on my own? Thanks!

    Some websites are using WebSocket-connections (or other tricks: "disguise third-party network requests as first-party network requests") to work around uBlockO.
    uBlockO can't see WebSocket-connections on Chromium-based browsers, but after installing of the additional extension, uBlockO can see these connections and is able to block them.

    Hello hayc59,

    Maybe my post was not very clear. uBlock Origin Extra is only for Chrome or chromium based browsers. There is no need for it on Firefox or mozilla based browsers. Therefore there is only an uBO-Extra extension for Chrome/chromium based browsers. There is no version for Pale Moon as it is not needed.
    HTH...
