    Thanks for the input. I just got rid of wns.windows.com by stopping explorer.exe from making an outbound connection at all. Still working on search.msn.com. I dislike persistent connections for any reason. Just a personal thing I guess.

    Lol, I noticed that too. Also reset many of the "windows" settings but I was expecting that.

    I just checked, and it's not an addon. Personally, I have no need to ever use IE. I used to sometimes use it for downloading software, when I had no need to keep a copy of the software's installer, becuase it has a "Run" option when you download files, which means they only get downloaded to IE's cache, and do not get saved in the Downloads folder. But, Edge has a Run option now too, so I can use it instead.

    It is still enabled on my system, and it still configured to use a maximum of 3% disk space, which is how I had it configured in AU.

    Just as well the upgrade tool doesn't support upgrading to the Pro and Enterprise versions.

    I just did a clean install on one of my test computers. This computer has a fairly slow 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo processor (L7500, released in 2006) and Anniversary Update ran a little bit slowly on it, or at least it was slow when opening the Start Menu or Explorer, and Windows 8.1 (with Classic Shell installed so I had a Start Menu) was noticably faster. I've seen a noticable increase in performance on my main laptop with a 2nd gen i3 with Creators Update and I was interested to see if there would be an improvement on low end hardware too.

    Soon after the install finished, the computer started becoming unresponsive briefly at times. Shortly after that, it froze completely. I powered it off, started it up again and was able to open Windows Update. As with previous builds of Windows 10, the first time you launch Windows Update, it will tell you that there are no updates available, even though a check for updates have never been run. I checked for updates and it found and installed a cumulative update. With Windows updated and with visual effects set to best performance (however I enabled show window contents while dragging and smooth edges of screen fonts), it runs very well.

    The first time I open Explorer after Windows loads, it takes a few seconds to open, whereas it is instant in Windows 7. But if I open Explorer again, there is only a very slight delay. There is also a very slight delay when opening the Start Menu. In both cases, the delay is so small that it isn't really an issue.

    With regards to our Windows customizations and after the Windows 10 Creators Update. I'm happy it fared well compared to experiences after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update - https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/windows-10-anniversary-update.387581/page-2#post-2606959

    Thus far my observations regarding my Windows customization reverted after the update;
    1) Windows Task Manager
    2) Windows Task Scheduler Items in locations:
    * Microsoft \ Windows\ Application Experiences \
    * Microsoft \ Windows \ Customer Experience Improvement Program \
    3) Occasionally show suggestions in Start [Setings \ Personalization \ Start]
    4) Microsoft Store App Sign-In didn't remember me.
    5) Microsoft OneDrive returned.
    6) Desktop Icons out-of-place. Unable to fit them in the exact spots as before. Resolution, Scaling, Icon sizes seem all seem to be set right.
    7) Microsoft Edge AdBlock Plus extension lost all of its customizations. I suppose I should fault the extension though.
    The Microsoft Store App not only forgotten me, the secondary account I had but seldom used came up wanting my password.

    It was true that they made changes to prevent Store Apps and Games you've uninstalled from returning after the Creators update. At the moment Microsoft OneDrive seems to be the only Store App that Microsoft was bent on having it forced back onto customers setups.

    System Restore wasn't disabled, or left disabled like w/ Anniversary Update. However, I've seen where System Restore wasn't always disabled after Anniversary Updates.

    ... moving on-wards.

    The yellow triangle with exclamation mark on the Windows Defender tray icon I don't like. I shouldn't need to see that just because I'm currently not set to use Cloud-based protection.

    Edge browser at a glance, I don't see no print selection support yet. Wasting Ink to print a full page is ridiculous. Edge still not supporting this is pitiful.

    However lot I'm seeing with Creators update I like. I'll explore and see what else I can come up with.

    How do I get Flash Player to work in Edge now? It is enabled but I cannot view Flash Player based videos.

    Example: http://www.abc.net.au/news/abcnews24/

    I can't even open the Flash Player Settings Manager.

    The Firefox version works OK.

    Edit: The ActiveX version is playing the video in that link OK in IE 11.

    When I visit here - https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-10-edge.html - I see an icon in the Address Bar where I can either temporarily or permanently allow Flash Player for that site but that icon doesn't appear on the earlier link.

    Hi Krusty. That page I'm able to play every video I've tested except for the headliner one. It is exactly the same in Internet Explorer with that.

    Edge is suppose to use HTML5 by default, when possible. That site Edge plays the videos over HTML5. Why you don't see the usual Flash toggle image requiring to be clicked to have Flash played.

    Windows Updates now require internet, I mean, Windows checks whenever there is internet connection, just like Hitman Pro does, it worked fine in 1607. It is interesting to see, how it evolves, 1507 required Telemetry service to be running. 1607 dropped requirement to run Windows Firewall service, it is only needed for store apps now. Windows 8 worked fine without DHCP service.

    That site supports HTML5, that's why.

    Flash is integrated with IE under Windows 8, and IE and Edge under Windows 10. No installation of Adobe flash required. ;)

    Just checked the lower videos and they do indeed play in Edge. It the main one, which is live that I'm having problems with. No problems with FF CF Chrome or IE 11.
    When I play the video in IE 11 is uses Flash Player, but I could disable Flash Player and see if it plays HTML5.

    I just installed Creators Update on an even slower laptop, and it's also running well. So far, I'm very impressed with Creators Update and it seems to running at least as fast as Windows 8.1 on slower PCs.
