I'm thinking/hopefully they will extend support because of all the bugs still.

Maybe it wasn't just me with MB 3 updating issues.

    Updates not working? Try this:

What a complete mess MB 3 has been. I too hope MBAM 2 support is extended.

I am with you and others on this forum, Krusty ...... I hope the REPS from Malwarebytes that often visit this forum see how hard you experts have been trying to sort out V3 without total success.

I am loathe to even try V3 as a result and urge Malwarebytes to extend support for V2 until such time as the program seems to be installing/working with a much greater success rate than seems to be at the moment.

The beta was running fine OK here too, although it did slow my machines. One machine spat out a warning that the def's were out of date last night and the second machine spat out the same warning this morning. I didn't wait for the 3rd machine to spit out any warnings.

"Hmm"... being the operative. I'm with Peter big time chiming in that I'm on "the latest MB3 is working fine" bandwagon. Avira free goofed my MBAM premium from updating to version 3 until this morning. And I digress in mentioning that I trashed the big A in lieu of Panda. Oh, well. But, hey, Wow!! ---> to MBAM v3. A full system scan took (way) less than half the time a "hyper scan" did in the previous version. I'll concede I'll have to do some digging around relative to the latest detection rates, etc. But so far the Panda/MBAM v3 combo has this old Win 7 box purring like a kitten. v3 coerced me to do a tweak with SpyShelter FW to disable blocking hooks notifications in the SSFW settings associated with Chrome and Opera. Cause and effect? MBAM's anti-exploit feature. A 20-second work-around. And yet no compromise in protection; and no stormy weather necessitating a red umbrella icon.

Yep. At this point I'll refrain from swearing and just say MB 3 sucks!

I've tried multiple times since I uploaded those logs - uninstalling with the latest MB-Clean, reinstalling, uninstalling with REVO Uninstaller Pro, reinstalling, their clean-up tool again. Nothing worked. MBAM 2 runs fine, MB 3 will not update on this machine.

Right now I'm thinking a clean install of Windows 10 Creators Update as soon as the ISOs are publicly available.

Whether I'll bother with Malwarebytes is yet to be seen.

    I'm done with MBAM.
Yesterday I bought a lifetime license of ZAM and did the switch.
    Works flawlessly.

They don't. You can choose between 1, 2 or 3 years.
Lifetime licenses are for beta testers.

Well, I told them I had a lifetime MBAM license, was dissatisfied and wanted to switch to ZAM for good so they made a special for me, lifetime license at the cost of three years I think.

The ISO was available earlier this week. Did an in-place update. Major update just like a new Windows install. MB worked just fine. Be advised, that with this update Defender will be turned off (MB installed) and cannot be turned On (grayed out). Removed context menu Scan with Microsoft Defender too. You can turn on Periodic Scans.

Had little quirks so imaged back to latest build. Used Group Policy Editor to defer Creator for 180 days. At least by then, it will be RTM for businesses.

Been using ZAL for a while now (have a lifetime license through beta testing) and I'm ready to uninstall it. New version doesn't play nice with Discord, and won't let me activate any keybinds. I'm hoping they or MB pick their **** up, so I can decide which to go with.

    ZAL is an anti-keylogger.
    MB doesn't offer that, no?

Gave the latest version a try and was met with a BSOD. I think I'll wait for version 6.x.
