Better yet. All I want from MB's, is an icon next to the question mark (?) in Protection History, that allows me to reset or clear all the counters to 0.

I cannot run MB 3 on one of my machines. For some reason it regularly boots to a temporary Windows profile and I find this totally unacceptable.

This is the only machine I have left that still has Norton Security installed so I don't know if that is relevant or not. Either way, that machine is back to MBAM 2.

This is annoying and I hope it is fixed in the next release. It isn't obvious whether these counters can be reset manually in the program data folder.

Yep same here, even if i delete "the folder.bak" in the registry, all the time temporary profile is loaded, had to uninstall mbam V3, and change the file path of the registry profile list for back to normal, too bad.

    Rules.

My machine wasn't booting to the temporary profile every time but often enough to be annoying. It doesn't do it with MBAM 2 installed.

I also have this from time to time. 'Preparing Windows ...', 'Can't sign in to your Windows account', sign-out, then it works.
Thought it was just a Win 10 'oddity' but it other MB3 users have also reported this.

Seems to be a MBAM 3-related issue.
This problem is also mentioned in the Malwarebytes-forum and after downgrading to MBAM v2 the issue disappeared:

Does anyone else find a problem with MBAM slowing pc down somewhat?

Have installed on 2 machines after a bare metal W10 Pro installs....no problems whatsoever...other than the System Volume issue which appears corrected in the 1.0.75 Component Package update (i.e. the most recent MBAM update)

In general, any slowdowns appear to have been resolved...at least for my installations...although, both my machines use SSDs. There was some notable sluggishness in Event Viewer over the last several MBAM builds...however, this also appears to have been resolved as well.

I tried again and had no problem yesterday but after a restart this morning my machine once again started to boot to a temporary profile, so I tried their new MB-Clean tool... https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/197338-new-mb-clean-tool-not-removing-all/ ... sigh. :cautious:

I've just about lost all faith in Malwareytes at this point.

I empathize with everyone still having all these varied issues with MB3xxx...I was once there too! It's been weeks, our there about, since I uninstalled v3 (first edition) and installed v3 CU3 and have experienced no problems whatsoever.

Ran good when installed no issues.
Tested uninstalling because I knew people had issues, did not go so well. Did the Revo thing and the tool (MB3 removal tool) rebooted said "Windows was not genuine".
    Lucky I had a backup.

Anyone figured out how to reset the 'Protection History' counters back to "0"? Before I uninstalled, I should have played with the Registry Hives and the ProgramData folder; since I was going to clean install anyway.

Don't want to post on MB's site, as the core issues still are not resolved for a lot of users.

Had to contact Support this morning for a problem with license activation, and I saw this next to the SUPPORT button:
    Reduced staffing?
Mmm, coupled with all the problems with MBAM 3, this doesn't sound good methinks.

Why read into it? Maybe some people just took a few days off?

Could be good: Shift staffing around for more to work on the bugs. :)

Could be bad: A good percent of their customers are asking for a refund.

I've been running MBAM 3.0.6 for a week now with no problems. It may be a legitimate working version for me now. God knows I griped enough, but I want to give credit to them when I feel it it due. They obviously have worked on it trying to solve all the problems. Anyway, I'm going to leave it on this pc and hope it continues to work. Sigh.........

Yep! Sad John, that we have to be vigilant in regards to MB v3 working properly or not...how the mighty have fallen [and so far]. Before, it was truly a 'set it and forget it' software!

We can only hope, that it achieves it's past dependability,

If a user reports a special problem, the developer can create a private build and the user will receive it for further testing.
These private builds are fixing specific issues.
