    Sure.
After selecting "Take snapshot" you will be given the option to do a snapshot and an advanced snapshot.
    It works in every mode.

As with all security, the weakest link would be yourself. Voodooshield and Windows Defender is enough, with a good ad blocker for your browser and of course your regular personal and system file backups.

    @Lucent Warrior,

Appreciate your input and suggestions, and/or what are you using as far as backing up your PC personal and/or system file backups? Can you give details,
ram usage ect...? What are you using? Shadow Copies?
Nobody is perfect that why I am using VS!!! Plus it put the least amount of stress on the PC.

PS. You may check out the links that I provided.

Okay maybe try this as it fixed a few issues for me.

Backup C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield and save backup outside any VS location.

Exit VS. Stop and delete "VoodooShieldService"

    Stop and delete driver "VSScanner"

    Delete:

    C:\Program Files\VoodooShield
    C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield

    Reboot.

Install a fresh copy of VS. Then exit VS and stop service and driver.

Copy files that you backed up into their original location "C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield"

    Reboot.

Reinstall VoodooShield once again straight over the top of the existing version.

    Reboot.

This fixed a few issues for me.

I keep a copy "updated when needed" of windows 10 on a flash drive via the MS media creation tool, I prefer to wipe and clean install if needed, and always keep personal files on external drives. The only time I have personal files on my system is when I'm using them, such as family photos I want to edit and upload Ect. Once the task is finished, I either make copies of the edited and move them to external, or I'm finished in which case I delete the ones on the system and clean up.

Simplicity is a virtue. This way if anything does happen, I do not loose anything, and personal info on the system stays minimal, manageable.

Combine this with a getting better steadily Windows Defender, then add VS "Lockdown", a good adblocker with filters and a genuine investigative mind set towards links and applications you're unsure of, and you will be golden.

VS is the computer lock, hence lock down of the system. Even in just smart mode "default setting" you are good, every time I have tested this application has been with default settings and not one single bypass.

Yes, if you don't allow it to run. That said, VS is best installed on a clean system otherwise it is possible malware already running will get whitelisted.

It will not only protect you, but if you suspect malware, you can examine the files and determine what kind.

My understanding is that the lock only applies to the Whitelisting modes. In AutoPilot mode, VS will allow and whitelist any file that is determined to be totally clean by the blacklist scan engines and VS's Ai. If there is any doubt, VS will block the item and the user will will prompted to decide whether to allow or not.

  20. Always ON = lock always on
SMART = lock on when a WEB-program is running
AUTO-PILOT= allow ehen Blacklist scan clean and VS AI-engine clean

Already allowed parent programs can start child processes which are also allowed when this setting(allow by parent) is ON (default(

Dan that's what VS logo (Icon) should be, a kickass looking lock with the "VS" on the lock face.
    Hook a honky up :ninja:

So, basically, VS is 100% bulletproof only in "whitelisting mode" --> "Always ON". But like this, it should have a lot of false positive (for example if you download a totally legitimate software that is not whitelisted)

So, in auto-pilot mode VS is not default-deny, but it works on blacklist... so, the AI-engine should be really good, if it can catch zero-day ransomwares

But I think there is a chance to fail, if using autopilot mode...

It looks like VS in "always on" mode failed with Cerber ransomware...

Personally, I wouldn't take too much notice of a YouTube tester's results.
