I hear you, at least it was free though.. did you try training mode 1st? It even blocked TOR but after training mode its quiet, if its a pain ill remove and get my money back.... ;)

Oh I wonder though, are they logging every keystroke I make and sending it back home? that would indeed suck.

No. Absolutely not! Dan has no interest in that type of behaviour.

I will take your word for it Krusty, seriously way too many people on here are using the program from what I seen, I'm very optimistic for my new "layer" of protection against cyber mayhem.

@cyro44 , VS is an excellent additional layer, and Dan, has to be one of the most down to earth, easy to work with Devs I have ever met.

I agree, and it's track for stopping malware is what got my attention. I've thrown almost 300 samples at it and not a miss

Great product, but usability is hindered when "Disable and / or Training is broken.

Not sure what you mean by broken. On my desktop I don't have any clicks at all.

    For me, just to cumbersome.
I know Dan is working on new versions.
Just seems he is working on the small bugs.
This is the big bug: the "disable" when its not really disabled.
Good luck! I really hope well for this program.

Hey everyone! I think VS 3.51 is ready... I am going to let it run overnight, and if everything looks good in the morning I will release it.

After this version, a new developer named Alex is going to start doing a lot of the dev work on VS. I will see if he can sign up for an account like Vlad did... that way he can communicate with you guys directly as well. I will also catch up on the posts I missed asap, thank you guys!

I did seem to have an issue when trying to update Adguard: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/voodooshield.313706/page-574#post-2651594
Only when I exited VS did the update go through.
I have never otherwise had an issue with 'Disable / Install Mode', and it could be a coincidence, but both @Circuit and I experienced this.
Must be the way Adguard updates and some logic in VS (which didn't issue a block message, because of Install Mode, and no blocks observed in logs).

I don't use adguard, and using opera and ublock with it, I haven't seen the need.

I just uploaded 3.51... there were not any fixes that should have broken anything, so I just uploaded it to the public. Usually, I like to see if you guys can run the new version for a few days, but I really needed to get this version out.

There were tons of small fixes, and I think everything you guys had posted since 3.50 is fixed, but if not, please let Alex or I know.

    Here are the main fixes...

    - Added compression utilities to the vulnerable process list... I think they are all included, but if you guys find another one, please let me know
    - There was an extremely uncommon silent blocking issue when VS could not determine the absolute path, this is fixed
    - Blocking in Disable / Install Mode should be fixed, if not, please let me know
    - Regional bug when the system time was changed to a different format should be fixed, if not, please let me know
    - Drag and drop and the right click context "VoodooShield Scan" now supports all file types
    - Logging bug fixed
    - Too many command lines were being added to the list... should be fixed, if not, please let me know
    - Xcopy was being blocked by batch files
    - "Threats Blocked: x" to be a clickable button that leads you to the UI section that shows your quarantine/blocked was added
    - A lot of other small fixes

I will catch up on the posts and PM's asap, thank you guys!

I spent around 4 months on a daily basis throwing samples at VS, some days those packs were upwards of a thousand samples, I have yet to bypass it with one, this was at default settings in smart mode. VS is without a doubt, quite solid.

@VoodooShield those are some nice changes listed, will be firing up the VM in the next day or so for a good run.

Thanks @VoodooShield Keep up the good work! :)

The file version is still showing 3.50.0.0 on the download - I take it that this is just an omission?

Assuming when I looked at the signature timestamp (Monday, February 13, 2017) and product version 3.51 in Details tab, the file version number is a typo. So I believe it is v3.51.

Didn't save previous 3.50 installer to compare.

    @VoodooShield
Not sure if this is expected behavior or not, but when i use the right click "Voodooshield Scan" menu option on an file, VS executes the file after I click "Allow".
In my opinion if I'm perfoming an adhoc scan on a file, I'm only interested to know if it's malware or not.

@VoodooShield Update prompted by VS. 3.50 -> 3.51 no issues. Any chance you could get the taskbar/desktop icon to open "VoodooShield Settings" instead of making an error sound?
