Last time I tried Zemana AntiMalware free version I found heaps of leftover dross after uninstalling it. Is this still the case?

Lots of security programs do that. That is why I use Zsoft Uninstaller (have done so for several years). There are other good uninstallers, as well.

A few weeks ago I setup a womens new laptop, and installed ZAM and Unchecky.
Windows Defender and Smart Screen on, of course, and PUP patch applied.

I bought her a three years licences for ZAM, and everything was running fine, when I left.

A few days ago she called me again, and told me, that she had some issues, not related to malware and PUPs,
and that she had an related "computer expert" helping her, but things went worse...

I remote connected to her laptop and WTF...
Her "computer expert" had uninstalled ZAM and Unchecky, disabled Windows Defender and Smart Screen, and installed Avast-free instead.

I was frustrated and quit support for her.

    That's how the story was...

You wait. She will call back asking for help because she is now infected. Duh. Unless you are in the business, it's really hard to help people at times.

I did but that was a standard reply, I think we'll be seeing this again. It seems they don't know or they don't want to whitelist digitally signed software.
