    Many thanks Krusty... I just grabbed the offline installer. I've been using Live Mail for years and would hate to see it disappear on me...

    With Windows Live Mail now EOL and potentially vulnerable can anyone tell me how WLM could be compromised?

    I have added WLM to HMP.A's protected applications and I have VodooShield installed so I'm not too concerned, more curious.

    I clean installed Win10 Creators Update last night and just tried several times to install Windows Live Mail (yes, I know it is no longer supported). I kept getting Error 0x800c0006 so I googled that error and found a post suggesting to install US English Language Pack. That did the trick!

    I hope that helps someone else.

    Hey Krusty. Fellow Aussie here, well half English half Aussie don't hold it against me :)

    If your still looking to protect it from your post in January cage it with MemProtect. You won't even know it's there.

    You could make a very simple rule:
    [DEFAULTALLOW]
    !*\Windows Live\*>*\Windows Live\*
    [BLACKLIST]
    *\Windows Live\*>*

    MemProtect provides a good protection, but it is a GUI-less application and you have to edit the configuration/rules with notepad.
    But i guess you prefer to have a GUI :)
    And yes, with HMP.A and VS you are well covered :thumb:

    Yeah, I prefer a GUI and I'm not into programs with fiddly rules. I don't have the patience for that. ;)
