BTW, on a side note… I was at a client’s office today and while working on his computer, I had to go to gmail.com to log in to his account. Him and I were talking away and I accidently reversed the a and the i and typed gmial.com instead, which took me to a malicious / fake site.

He was not infected, and I did not stick around to find out what possible attack would have occurred.

But my point is… mistakes happen ;).

Hello, VS is not more in BETA? I see on their web that it doesn't mention it, also, VS has auto-update of the program?

Hi Huchim, nice to meet you! Yeah, I quietly removed the b word from 3.50 when I compiled it... it was in beta for so long that it did not justify making a huge deal out of the public release. It is pretty much stable now... just a few small things we need to work out. Yeah, VS should update itself, but if you run into problems, just download it from the link in my sig. BTW, if you do not have a Pro license, please email me at support at voodooshield.com and I will set you up with a license. Thank you!

Minor matters but could @CloneRanger please change his link in the first thread post, it seems to lead to an old VS site (or part of) that offers V2.2

New voodooshield user home edition user - extremely impressed by the pace of development and effectiveness to the extent that it is now my primary security solution on Win10 simply running alongside the built in Windows Defender.

New user here (since yesterday) and have a simple question. (didn't really want to read 547 pages to find a possible answer, sorry for my laziness ;)
The only way I found to open the GUI is to select the first option on right click.
Sorry I don't remember the text exactly, I'm at work right now.
    It's about settings anway.
When I choose that, it tells me all settings are not available since I'm not registered, do I want to buy a license?
I click no and then the GUI opens.
Is there another way I overlooked, and which wouldn't bug me about buying a license?

Thanks in advance, and best regards,
    François

What is purpose of this notification when VT, Voodo AI, Digital sig. and everything else says it is safe?

It's because it's trying to run in the Protected User Space! Not from Program Files or Program Files (x86)

Not buying a License to support all the hard work done on this excellent security progie to me is just "wrong"!
    I'm just saying.......

Wow, that is probably the highest false positive I have ever seen for common, legitimate software… I am guessing that it is an older version of IrfanView? Our Ai training data sets do not contain nearly as many older training samples as it does newer files from the last 3 or so years, so it is not as accurate sometimes on the older files. I can add older files to the training data set, and it will fix this issue… thank you for letting me know!

Thanks for the offer, very appreciated, but I don't want to steal your work.
I appreciate to get paid for my work myself, so if I want a license, you'll get money for it. :)
That said, can you please answer my question about opening the GUI?

    Best,
    François

Sorry about that... I read boredog's response and figured that answered your question.

Yeah, in order to access most of the GUI features, you need a VS Pro license. Otherwise VS just runs in Free mode... which offers essentially the same protection as Pro, but it just cannot be tweaked nearly as much.

I would be happy to set you up a two year license since you are a wilder's member... I do not consider it stealing at all... you guys should not have to pay to help me with my software ;). Thank you!

    Hey Dan,

On a clean installation of Win10 and Firefox I was once again repeatedly prompted for Norton Toolbar every time I opened FF. After leaving FF open and resetting the whitelist problem solved, but we shouldn't be prompted once we've allowed something should we?

    Thanks.

    Edited to add and 'e'.

Hey Krusty... yeah, this is probably the same bug as this: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/voodooshield.313706/page-545#post-2642526

I will take a look at it asap... it should be fixed soon, thank you!
