I installed the update last night, but on reboot the anti-ransomware didn't automatically start. My mbae64.sys file is dated Dec 14, 2016. It looks like there might be an ongoing problem with updating that file, since this is a similar problem I had with the beta.

It seems to be ok but not sure if realtime protection is compatable with adguard for windows 6.

when going from 2 to 3 i had to boot up pc with a linux distro and delete that sys file plus a few more.

If you uninstall the previous version make sure you have a copy if you need to go back. Malwarebytes has removed all older versions and will not provide downloads to them. Forcing you to only use this version.

Luckily, I save all my versions, but so far, I haven't installed any of them. Staying with version 2, for the time being.

    Hello Anjoland and Telos:

Even though you believe this might be true, this is really not the case. The main Malwarebytes portal still maintains the highest integrity pathway to the download link and the install procedures for the still supported MBAM v2.2.1.1043 for the user's convenience at How do I install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.x?

Anytime you have a Malwarebytes related issue or question, and its answer is too difficult to find, please ask publicly on the Malwarebytes forum at https://forums.malwarebytes.com or privately through the Malwarebytes consumer support portal, via Email, at Consumer Support.

For me I was referring to MBAE, and I have communicated through 4 emails with them and they refuse to provide a previous version, just this beta version. Was told this is the way their executive team has decided to move forward. At least provide older versions until a RC is out not take them away while a clearly troubled beta version is out.

    I just don't understand this.
This is the worse release I have seen from
a software producer and I've been around quite a while.

Did they not even try it?

    Hard to believe.

I have taken part in most of the previous betas for this software, but in all conscience, I couldn't this time.

MBAM 3 is running fine, with no issues on my hobby-shack machine (see signature)
(No tweaks, no tuning, no overlaying security...)
All of my machines, and not listed ones, are running without issues.

You guys, with all that mentioned issues; must be doing something wrong...

    My suggestion is:
Format your drive and start from scratch.

    Hello Anjoland:

Does https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbae give you the version you are interested in?

Have you been to the malwarebytes forums. Must be a lot of people doing something wrong. Also I guess you don't image.

    @Krusty:
Not just for MWBA, but to clean out all the trash, that was introduced, while fidling with the OS.

    My suggestion is:
Get rid of crappy MB3. I removed all traces of MB from my machine, which runs smoothly again.

Yes, and I don't care, because most of the issues are on freaks machines.

I'm doing support all day, and found out, that new setting up the OS solves most issues.

There are of course more time spending solutions, but they are not worth doing.

    Just my 2cents.

Curious how setting up a new OS would solve the VSS issue with the ransomware module? How about 1.5 cents.
