I tried to install this, but it is complaining about Comodo Firewall being on my machine. I guess I'll pass.
It wants to be the sole protection running, if I remember well what happened last time I tried it. (many months ago)
Nope, the installer does not complain about HMP.A, ZAM and KAR, maybe more.. BD-free-2016 is running alongside the above mentioned, all at the same time, without issues.
The BD installer didn't complain.... So the other security software was already installed. Running all at the same time is overkill. BD-free-2016 and HMP.A (paid) should be enough.
The website product page for Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition clearly displays that it is Windows 10 compatible, and has Windows 10 listed under System Requirements. Guess it's time to give it a try. Anyone know if Windows Defender turns itself off after Bitdefender Free is installed on Windows 10? Avast and AVG did when I tried them recently, but Norton and 360 Total Security Essentials didn't. I don't like using the reg fix to turn it off. Also, is there an "ask" setting for real time and scanning, or is it restore from quarantine only? Thanks.
BD free features = ●Active Threat Control for checking and detecting programs with suspicious activities. ●On-access scanning for real-time scanning of all accessed files. ●On-demand scanning for scanning files or folders at your request. ●Web Protection for detecting and blocking malicious webpages BD Paid additional features = ●Ransomware Protection ●System Optimization ●File Encryption ●Parental Advisor ●Firewall ●Antispam http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/bp/Bitdefender_AntivirusFree_2016_en.pdf

Since BD-free-2017 (aka dec 2016) is final, the issue, that action-center giving an "not protected" alert, is fixed. So BD-free is ready for average users.
What I really don't like is, that BD-free-2017 does not updated within minutes, like the previous version did, when the scheduled update was missed... Otherwise it's running fine, and quite.
Yup. BD AntiVirus Free Edition complained about the presence of MSIE and Spywareblaster and required them uninstalled. You can reinstall other security software later.
