I don't care what other "rip-offs" surface at the store or elsewhere, the original uBlock Origin (and uMatrix for that matter) produced by gorhill is the only one I'll ever trust and use.

    Maybe inline-script isn't "counted" :cautious:
    If i go to the site = 15 red lines in the logger / uBlock-icon = 15
If i now use your filter: 16 red lines in the logger / uBlock-icon = 15

That's what I wanted to report.
But I noticed cosmetic filters are not shown either in this badge, which makes it not usable if you rely on it to see if something is blocked on a website.

It doesn't block YouTube ads like on other browsers.

The Edge version is a fork of UBlockO. I do not think Raymond is behind it. I guess it is also being maintained by a separate team.

Maybe, but I watch HTML5 videos, not Flash videos. I'm not talking about video ads, but pop up ads while you're watching a video.

Hmm, I just installed uBO in Edge on one of my other machines it the ads do seem to be blocked now. I'll have to reinstall it on my other machine and check again.

Edit: OK, it is working now. I think you need to shut down Edge and restart it again after you make any changes to the settings or filter lists. Thinking about it, I had to do the same for ABP too when I first installed that in Edge.

uBlock Origin for Edge hasn't hit the shelves in my Store yet so I got it from Mr. X's link above, thank you very much!

Re: developer's Twitter example: it says volumes when the details-challenged culprit brags about being a "Black Hat," like this is darkly alluring or something. Strikes me as a bit sad.

  19. @Krusty had similar experience with uBo in Edge, indeed closing and restarting after install seems to do the trick :thumb:

I've had a few times where uBO wasn't working after opening Edge and even closing then restarting Edge didn't get it working again.

I've kept the extension installed but disabled it. ABP seems to work better at the moment but hopefully when the uBO matures it will become more reliable.

Does anyone know of a way to determine which filters are not being used for a filter list?

For example, "3rd-party filters" tab > "My filters‎ : 1,000 used out of 1,010". How can I figure out and either modify or remove the 10 unused filters? I tried clicking the "My Filters" url hoping it would open the list in use, but that list matched exactly what is under the My Filters tab.

Thanks for any help and I hope this hasn't already been asked and my searching was not very sound.

So is this legit? BTW, is it possible to update filters individually?

Is anyone else running chrome in sandboxie noticing that the numbered notifications in both Ublock and Umatrix no longer appear?
