how to get alerted for new conversations?

how can I get an email alert if someone starts a conversation with me?

 

If someone starts a conversation with you, you'll receive this via mail automatically.
But i guess you'll get this mail only if you're not logged in at Wilders.
Example:

If someone replies to a conversation:

Edit: "Contact Details" - "Messaging Preferences" = [X] "Receive email when a new conversation message is received"

so I guess the solution is to pay attention to new alerts when I am logged in.

 

There's a SETTING under "Contact Details/Messaging Preferences" that turns this on (or DEFAULTs to ON... don't remember) and you should receive the emails regardless of your Wilders on-line status.
