Here's an example that I saved when both EAM's and Eset's PUA protection were enabled. Eset log entry:

    Threat: Win32/PUAtest.B potentially unwanted application

Action: deleted (after the next restart)

Information: Event occurred during an attempt to access the file by the application: C:\Program Files\Emsisoft Anti-Malware\a2guard.exe

I have a question, with which credit cards you can pay Emsisoft antimalware's license?
I'm afraid that credit card that I use cannot be used to pay license for Emisoft antimalware, can anyone help me out?
Just for the record, I'm thinking of using an antivirus with VoodooShield and HitmanPro.Alert, I still have to decide between Emsisoft and BitDefender, I still don't know, but when I opened this website of Emsisoft and saw what credit cards are allowed to be payed with my credict card was not one of them?
What now if I choose Emisosft antimalware as my first line of defense?

  3. CoolWebSeartch can you use PayPal? That would be my first choice any way. PayPal is great for purchases unless your from a banned country.

Get one of those cards, use PayPal or ask someone to order it for you and give him cash.

Maestro is owned by MasterCard so it may be worth trying to enter the number in the credit purchase box.

Maestro is a debit card. These are not normally accepted.

I need to know one more thing, does Emsisoft antimalware protect against exploits and how much? And how can I contact Emsisoft developers?
If Emsisoft does not have protection against exploits, than I will install most likely HitmanPro.Alert.

I will simply have to go to the bank nad ask them to create for me Mastercard, but I don't have time right now, it will be next year.

Emsisoft does not use the same way as tools like EMET, HMPA or MBAE to detect exploits but uses its behavior blocker to detect such "exploit-ish behavior". (Read Fabian's explanation here.) The Emsisoft forum would be the place to contact their developers.
EAM (currently) works without any issues together with HMPA.

I purchased my Emsisoft license with a GreenDot pre-paid Mastercard debit card. It's the type you can buy and can reload at a CVS, Walmart, etc.

If the debit card in question has a Mastercard logo on it (overlapping red and blue circles - the logo for a Mastercard Maestro card) , it should be useable to buy an Emsisoft license and should otherwise be widely accepted. However, the use of a debit card linked to your bank account for an online transaction presents somewhat greater risks than using a credit card or a pre-paid debit card.

"Maestro® is a Global network and cards can be used at over 13 million locations around the world and 1.9 million ATMs."

Probably an army of internet enabled refridgerators, toasters and vaccum cleaners is running a DDOS attack against Emsisoft, because @Fabian Wosar decrypts too much ransomware.

    Kind of like that, yes.

If thats the case that youre getting DDoSed, two questions:

    1. Why is there no DDoS Protection in place? Hetzner has Anti-DDoS now.

    2. Why no CDN like Cloudflare or Incapsula? Improves security and prevents downtime due to DDoS attacks.

Which is ineffective against the kind of attack we are experiencing.

Yes, piping all information people submit to us, including passwords they chose etc., through a third party is a great idea for a privacy conscious company like us ;)

In general it devolved into a cat and mouse game at this point, between me adjusting the filter rules and them changing the request patterns.

Hetzner was way too late for Anti-DDoS anyway...........

As for anti-DDoS Measures i guess you can find some other easier way to keep them out.

PS: Theres no privacy online anymore, you can forget that by now, like encryption backdoors that have to be in place, well then you can remove encryption anyway cause cybercrooks can decrypt data then too.
