Yes, I agree it's a solid partitioning manager and data rescue toolset. It's been around from the Win98 days (formerly known as Diskgenius) that used to be the ultimate tool in partition recovery and data rescue. It has been very popular in China. Grab it when you can.

Why not? You can make for example USB flash drive with DOS and PartitionGuru.

Well, in the program interface I can't see anything alike "Create Bootable Media".

Thank you. Now I can see it's possible.
I'd be so happy if I could see "Create ISO file" because I use to drop many iso files using a program to make a USB stick multi-iso bootable.
The way PartitionGuru proposes, that is, a dedicated USB stick is non practical.

Note: Don't get me wrong, I can see the true potential of this program I've never used before. I think is great but not so the creation of bootable media.

Yes, the developers seem to have not done a simple possibility to create WinPE.
DOS ISO can be made http://mkboot.com/en/online-iso-en/
    --------
    mkboot.com seems not suitable
For DOS You can take some of the complete DOS.ISO and using such Ultraiso add PGuru files

What´s so special about this program? What does it do that other partition managers (ex. Minitool Partition Wizard) don´t?

    Hi.
Partition Guru Pro works as portable app...
The only thing it writes into your windows registry is it's "uninstallation" information for it's uninstall.exe to remove the directory and the shortcuts in start menu/desktop (if you made them..)
    Code:
The key below could be different on your machine, but it doesn't matter, you don't need it..
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{FC4FF5F4-2265-4E18-8BBC-12CBA9794388}_is1]
everything else is in it's installation directory and possible shortcuts elsewhere ofcourse.
(The registration information of yours is in it's installation directory aswell, see options.ini ..)
    So...
The easiest way for you to get it on a bootable windows cd/dvd/iso would be to get something like Aomei's WinPE builder (freeware)
and add partition guru there, and you have winpe partition guru along with a few aomei apps..

No problem. I use Shadow Defender prior installation, then reboot and that info should be gone.

Thanks for the tip. I use a custom WinPE 5.0 to run some utilities such as HDSentinel Pro portable, HDD Low Level Format Tool, etc.
Now I will include PartitionGuru as well. :thumb:

So if I get it correctly,
    1. I just install PartitionGuru as usual.
    2. Copy installation directory to any portable device and it will run from there.

    Right?

Yes, because it is not writing anything into your windows registry, other than what it does during the installation.. possible shortcuts (up to you) + "uninstall" information..

I lost my install due to a hdd crash and didn't save the install folder to have it portable. Now Eassos not allow me to activate the product once again even though I gave my email and giveaway link. Bummer!

I need another giveaway although I don't see any coming soon in the near future.

Mister X, do you have any images (backup) of your System, and if so, what's the name of the imaging program that did the job?

As you can see in my sign. I use Terabyte Unlimited products, especially IFL. Well, just IFL lately, best one for me.

Well, if you have a recent image, you should be able to MOUNT it and get your PG program folder from that image and place it on your new System without issue. Or... in about 5-min, check your PM for some additional helpful information.

No I don't. Thing is I've never tried this partition tool ever before, for this I never did a system backup assuming (wrongly) I could activate the program anytime. I installed it, tested it and liked the portable feature it has, but then the crash came suddenly.

    Checking pm right away...

 Well, I guess you'll just have to wait for the next GOTD or BitsDuJour or other freebie outfit to come up with a gift... it should happen sooner or later.
