Will there be any incompatibility between this and other security products that have their own anti-exploit and/or anti-ransomware module?

Just for confirmation, MBAE will be uninstalled automatically when installing MBAM v3.0 Beta?

    Thanks.

EDIT: Ignore the question, found the answer. Was reading too quick.

@ZeroVulnLabs I ran another scan and it did complete. I was away some of the time the scan was running so I can't say if the scan eventually managed to continue after being stuck on the one file, or if there was just no issue this time.

The scan took an hour to complete.

I've found an issue with the UI. When the scan results are shown, clicking above or below the scroll bar on the right side of the window, does not page up and down through the scan results, but moves the scroll bar to where the mouse pointer is.

I installed it and I couldn't do anything with it because it conflicts with Kaspersky 17.0.0.611. I couldn't even uninstall it until I paused Kaspersky protection.

Shortly after I took that screenshot in my post #5, the Dashboard reported "Updates are not current" with the orange !

Hitting Check for Updates, no effect.

Hovering over the tray icon... Updates: Up to date

Since that observation, the Update package version went from the original 1.0.360 to .363 and then to .364 when I hit Check for Updates just now.

But the "Updates are not current" with the orange ! persists. No "Awesome! You are protected."

So I think there's a bug in that lovely modern millennial metro UI. :(

    Speaking of my post #5...

    Yes? No?

    Thanks!

"...so that you can finally replace your traditional antivirus". I, for one, have not seen a traditional antivirus for ages ;)

Very nice! As big time supporter of MBAM, I own 5 lifetime licenses myself, and about 10 more are owned by family and friends.

I do hope MBAM3 turns out to be as equally awesome as MBAM2 :thumb:

You mean EMET and/or Sophos/Hitmanpro? Yeah, same incompatibilities with MBAE now apply to MB3. But we've kept the MBAE advanced configuration in MB3 so you can pretty much do the same level of configuration in MB3. This won't solve all conflicts however (EMET can be solved by tweaking, Hitmanpro can't).

Would you mind reporting through this process so it gets in the queue?

Can you add exclusions in Kaspersky for Malwarebytes to see if it makes a difference?

Also try turning off some of MB3's protection modules and some of Kaspersky's protection modules interchangeably to see if you can spot a pattern.

introduce lifetime licenses for new customers again and I will buy a few as a thank you.

Not interested in annual licenses tho unless at a sensible price point.

Many nice improvements in the UI and the integration of AR and AE is a great step forward :thumb:

Regarding the real time protection options I'd like to suggest that you make it possible to disable the "You're not fully protected" warning when it is necessary to turn one of them off. For instance I'm running HitmanPro.Alert and need to turn off exploit protection in MBAM, so it would be nice if MBAM was not constantly giving a warning message.

Freezes on my system almost as soon as I try to open a browser. Neither Firefox or Chrome will actually open and although they show in task Manager it is impossible to kill the process. I assume this is because I have Sandboxie installed? Even if I shut down SB the problem persists.

    Hi

I understand this v3 comprises of 3 main components

    1) Anti-Malware
    2) Anti-Exploits
    3) Anti-Ransomware

    According to your website

    QUOTE

"While signatures are still effective against threats like potentially unwanted programs, the majority of our malware detection events already come from our signature-less technologies like our Anti-Exploit and Anti-Ransomware.."

Can check whether your Anti-Malware still use signatures (like your v2.x Anti-Malware) or using signature-less like AI?

If the v3 Anti-Malware is signature-less then is it equal or better than the v2.x signature Anti-Malware?

    Thanks
