1-2 months till the alpha version (at least I hope so). In general it should work ok. However, sometimes our support receives complaints on some weird behaviour when both ESET and AG are used simultaneously.
Yeah, my long experience with ESET applications is that Endpoint solution is far better than the rest of its portfolio as far as compatibility with other applications is concerned.
I cannot filter the Facebook Universal App, because it doesn't show in "Filtered Apps > Add Application". Ads still display, especially when opening 3rd-party links. Fortunately, I can add the Flipboad app without issues, but I was under the impression that "Modern UI hosted apps" was supposed to cover all of them? Adguard 6.1.258.1302 on Windows 10 64-bit AU.
@J_L First, right-click Adguard icon and choose Exit Adguard. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adguard\ Right-click Adguard.exe and choose Run as Administrator On the same settings page for Filtered Apps, go to Browse for Executable. Go to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Facebookblahblah\ Select the executable you need filtered
WinUAPEntry.exe is the file you need. The problem with Facebook app is that they prohibited HTTPS filtering of their traffic. So we can't remove sponsored posts from the facebook app feed.
I use ADFPC i don't want the facebook sponsored ads. I use a chrome extension that is supposed to stop those ads....Tampermonkey
Both AG for Windows and AG chrome extensions blocks facebook sponsored ads. We're talking about facebook UWP app, it is a bit different story.
What mechanism interferes with your filtering? A quick search led to: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/security/intro-to-secure-windows-app-development and its SSL pinning section. Is the Facebook app using Certificates declarations and/or its own certificate validation? Thereby interfering with local MITM based inspection/blocking tools and, like on some other platforms, that is the only way you can police app traffic?
This facebook suggested ad was not stopped by AGFW. https://www.oculus.com/experiences/section/196666504087079/?oculus.com/?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=ad&utm_term=gearvr&utm_campaign=fallsale

@avatar I have been meaning to ask you a question regarding the Social Media filter (https://adguard.com/en/filters.html#social) for a while now but I keep forgetting. Does this Social media filter essentially block those Like and Tweet buttons around the Internet on third-party sites but allow the normal functionality as expected on Facebook or Twitter main web sites? Or would enabling that filter also break Facebook and Twitter web sites entirely? Thank you
Social filter doesn't break fb and twitter. I am using fanboy's annoyance list too and fb and twitter work as intended
hi i really love your products may i know a question ? for example i use adguard adblocker for chrome and i can check for new filters updates , right click on the chrome adguard icon check for new subscriptions filters updates while under firefox , adguard same version , to check i have to go in the firefox preferences , why? why don't you add a check for new subs filters updates in firefox too? thanks sorry for my poor english
It's just FF does not show context menu when you click on the add-on icon. You can click somewhere else instead: http://i.imgur.com/5nTb0OE.png
You get adsense ads on a banking website? I would seriously consider changing the bank you use. Don't they realize that having a third party script is simply unsecure?
