    Click on "Enable desktop widget". Then you are able to minimize the window.

    @fblais Yes, we will talk about further details by e-mail.
    @ZZZ7 The next version will finally have a notify icon and then you can choose between notify icon and desktop widget.

    Yes :(
    But the next version fixes that. A notify icon can then be chosen, as the developer has said above.

    @ZZZ7 @mood Meanwhile you can chose the "small widget" instead of the normal one per right click on the widget itself.

    Thank you for linking the interesting article, we could directly fix a false positive detection due an user comment.

    We are currently working on the autostart issue and release a small fix really soon.

    @hsdev

    Is there a relevant difference between the key encryption provided by HPA, SS, Zemana Antilogger, KeyScrambler vs ghostpress?
    Besides this one is free (many thanks for it)

    Hi @ Wilders & GhostPress

    1) Don't like the widget prefer trayicon.

    2) How do you know it is working? ie with Keyscrambler u can see the typed symbols as they are changed.

    3) How does GhostPress compare with KeyScrambler, is there more functionality/better protection with GhostPress?

    Thanks

    Terry

    Yes, HMP.A is displaying the typed symbols too.
    But as long as you see " . . ." appearing in the widget, Ghostpress is working.
    Edit: Start notepad with elevated rights and type something in. Now you can't see " . . ." in the widget = not working.
    Start notepad with normal rights and you can see ". . ." = working.
    (You can verify it with a keylogger)
    -------------
    Sidenote: Elevated Processes are only protected with Ghostpress, if Ghostpress is running with elevated rights too.

    We took a bit longer for the update.

    Version 1.2
    #Minor language and text width improvements
    #Rare window switch bug fixed
    #Autostart bug fixed
    #Removed print screen protection

    @guest
    Ghostpress hides the keys, so keyloggers wont know when you type.

    @TerryWood
    1) You can choose between widget or notifyicon(taskbar)
    2) You can enable "animated" for the widget. This will give you visual feedback within the widget when you type.
    3) A big difference is that Ghostpress is portable and hides key presses instead of scrambling them.

    @mood
    Thank you for your answers. You are totally right.

    @bjm_ All false positives in the current version are reported.

    We wont report the false positive for the sample keylogger, since you can compile it yourself.

    I have to admit that I still don't understand how this works exactly. Can you try to explain it? If I'm correct, you're not using any API hooking, so how does it hide the keys from other processes?

    1) Does "hides key presses instead of scrambling them" differ from "GhostPress which encrypts all your keystrokes" as written <here>. Encrypts sounds like scrambling.
    2) How might keylogger sneak onto my machine.
    3) Will Ghostpress hide keystrokes in Sandboxie'd browser.

    1 It's a different method, for keyboard scrambling/encryption you need to install a driver.
    2 Just like any malware might sneak onto systems, via exploit or via careless or tricked user.
    3 The last time I checked, Ghostpress didn't work inside the sandbox.

    3 > Based upon sample keylogger, GP appears to eat alphanumeric keystrokes in Firefox sandbox. Am I seeing correct.
    1) Any suggestions on Security tab default > Disabled and Prevent hook overwrite. I've read Help File.
    2) ERP did not like Ghostpress Certificate. Is that because self signed. Does Install Certificate do anything.
    3) Ghostpress to AppGuard User Space No.
    4) appears KeePass master key dialog (not secure desktop) needs GP elevated.
    5) appears Firefox master password keystrokes are eaten.
    6) appears GP-Notepad holds Options.
    7) Delay protection Enhanced vs Standard has noticeable lag with press same key. Interesting.

    The certificate is not cross-signed from other vendors.
    You have the choice to import the certificate, then it appears correctly signed.
    But whitelisting the executable is sufficient.
    I see it eating the keystrokes without elevating it :cautious:
