Any chance of seeing the Danish translation in this update ?

 

I included the Danish translation in Alert. I will forward the HitmanPro translation to my colleague. Next build will have it!

The 5 detections are all the same file (same hash). I have whitelisted the hash.

W7-x64, build 281 is running without any issues.

Watchdog (Zemana) Anti Malware and it's Updates flagged as Trojans with the suggested action to Quarantine.

On my PC only a portable version is available from the download, i.e., it does not "install." Needed to create a desktop shortcut to the download. Is that the way it's intended to be?

 

You can install a release-version, but not a beta.
To have a beta "installed" copy the downloaded executable to your existing Program-Files folder:

a) overwrite the executable in Program Files:
64bit:
"c:\downloads\HitmanProBeta_x64.exe" -> "c:\Program Files\HitmanPro\HitmanPro.exe"
or 32bit:
"c:\downloads\HitmanProBeta.exe" -> "c:\Program Files (x86)\HitmanPro\HitmanPro.exe"

b) If HitmanPro wants to "downgrade" to the earlier release-version, you can block automatic updating:

HKLM\Software\HitmanPro\AutoUpdate REG_DWORD 0

I think so.
Release = can be installed
Beta = "portable version" (but to have a beta launched after clicking "Scan" within HMP.A the above workaround above can be used)

It is a keylogger.
If HitmanPro would whitelist it because it is a commercial product, then people with malicious intent could use it instead of a 'normal' keylogger.

 

keylogger/monitoring software should always be detected as a "threat".

 

Just thought I would mention after I updated my DAZ Studio to the latest version last night, a scan quarantined this:

freeimage.dll from DAZ was quarantined

I will post it on the DAZ forum and see whats up.

My 3-PC license lapses in 28 days. I have an unused license key for 3-PC (two years .. works on HitmanPro.Alert and HitmanPro). If I enter this key to renew do I get an extension from today or from the date my current license lapses?

 

I don't think so. Once you activate your new license the you will lose your remaining days.

Better to wait until you only have a day or two left, or email support and they might add the remaining days to your new license.
