Too little too late. (And 99% of Android users won't be able to update anyway.)

In modern smartphones Android 7.0 will have almost the same level of security of iOS; dont root, just use the Google Play Store and protect your phone with a strong password and you will be fine.

99%... Every time a new Android version appears, some people repeat the same. Android 5.x is now used in 35% of Android devices, 6.x in 15.%. Something similar will happen with 7.0.

This sounds useful to those who *want* their device to be more functional before they unlock it and are willing to trust apps to refrain from storing sensitive data/metadata outside of Credential Encrypted Storage. However, what about those who don't want to do that? Is there a way to effectively disable the Device Encrypted Storage and prevent app developers from storing stuff there?
