Here's the 1/2 price annual HAPPY LABOR DAY SALE from our friends at Horizon DataSys... whose Forums have been down for almost 2-weeks now.

    Labor Day Sale is done!

I don't think there will be a special W10 1607 release version. They have said to use it on 1607, pls uninstall current version (lose all your snapshots), upgrade to 1607 then re-Install.

People should know that if they have secureboot, they must disable it before installing RX , once installed and rebooted one time, then they can re-enable it.

    Thanks!

I better be safe than sorry. :D
So, I won't install RollBack Rx until they release an updated version or just release an official statement about RRx's compatibility with the current OS version. :D

Quite the opposite on the new computers though, where it is be mandatory and on some computers (mainly OEM) people will not be even able to turn it off.

As I stated earlier, There will be NO SPECIAL RELEASE for the Anniversary edition. This from the HDS "Ofishul" blog...

Windows 10 Anniversary Update Guide for RollBack Rx

*IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT THE WINDOWS 10 ANNIVERSARY UPDATE*

After testing the anniversary update (1607), the senior technical staff are advising all RollBack Rx, Reboot Restore Rx, and Drive Vaccine users to first uninstall our software before applying the update.

If users install the update without removing our software first, the machines will still boot into Windows but there could be errors which pop up.

However, it is recommended to still uninstall and reinstall our software to run on the cleanest state.

you will get an alert saying that RX drivers are blocked, then if you reboot without uninstalling it first , you may end with a smashed unbootable system.

Back in the days I tested Rollback RX on virtual machines, I always got great results. But then I started to read about certain bad/disastrous experiences that people had with it, so I never dared to install it on my real machine.

I admire all RollbackRX users who install it on their real OS.

    hahaha you meant "survived" :p

you have some guidelines/rules to follow to use it safely, then you will barely have any catastrophic issues.

    Why??

i can install and test any softs, do any tweaks on the OS, etc... and if i dont like my changes i discard all reverting to a clean baseline in mere seconds. no backup softwares has the speed and versatility of RX , but those huge advantages have a price , more risks if wrongly used.

That is why you have to make regular raw cold backups. And it doesn't hurt to remove Rollback once in a while and do a full backup without it. It is a valuable product for me. Saves me lots of time. I do my backups when I am away from the computer.

The time you saved in everyday usage of it will be re-claimed by one single computer breakdown by RBRX, sometimes plus your data. Not worth it if you ask me.

no need, i do one basic backup (with Windows Backup) when i clean install my OS and updated it. then install RX.

a careful user shouldn't lose any datas , cloud backup solutions or external HDD are made for this. so even RX smashes your system, forces you to wipe your HDD , you just have to download your datas later.
