I think for now I'm going to be using a Comodo with HitmanPro.Alert combo. Is there any added value to using the free comodo suite, which has the antimalware and the firewall, with HitmanPro.Alert or should I just use the straight firewall+?

Hitman Pro.Alert is for ransomware not malware, it does have an on demand scanner which launches Hitman Pro so it depends if you want a memory resident anti-malware product or not.

Have a look at the features list to see if there anything in Comodo that will clash with HMP.A.

Hi, I'm sort of late to the party, but the AV component of the comodo suite is kind of weak. If you want a decent AV, you are better off with almost anything else, like Avast free or Avira free or Windows Defender. I would not install comodo AV, and if I did, I would uninstall that component and just keep the firewall.
