The problem on my machine may be the vast number of photos (I am an amateur nature photographer) it is now scanning (TIFF & CR2 files). I wish there was a way to exclude certain type of files.

If the photos are in 1-2-3 folders, go to ZAM settings and exclude that folders from scanning.

Thanks for suggestion. Didn't work as I cannot just exclude libraries/pictures. You have to exclude each folder and there are just too many as I set up a folder for each day I shoot.

I like it, when an AV uses the given resources, to do fast scanning.

I hate it, when software does not make use of modern PCs power.

There still is a bug with excluding threats which was going to be fixed some time ago. When you choose to ignore all the detected items, and you proceed, Zemana closes any running web browsers. Of course there is no need to do this as nothing is being removed. I regularly have to exclude items, because everytime Tencent PC Manager receives a program update, it gets detected again by Zemana.

Tencent PC Manager is on Zemana an others watchlist not white-listed so you can report from now till tomorrow Zemana will detect Tencent everytime.

I set Zemana to scan at night, while I sleep. As long as Z doesn't interrupt my zzz's, I couldn't care less how long a scan takes, just as long as it's finished when I awake & return to my computer.

If you whitelist it won't be detected agaim until a new version of PC Manager is installed. When a new version of PC Manager is installed, becuase of changed files, and also because each new versions gets installed to a new folder under the QQPCMgr folder in Program Files there will be tens of files from PC Manager which get deteced again. Because new versions of PC Manager are continually being released, this is a problem. Sometimes it takes less than a week for Tencent to release an updated version.

Another issue which I reported long ago but still exists is that when Zemana has to upload files to analyse them, it uploads a number of files at the same time. Because my ADSL internet connection has a very slow upload speed, uploading multiple files at once slows my internet so much it is barely usable. It would be much better if Zemana would limit the number of files it uploads at once, so files can be uploaded without slowing down my internet down.
