It is actually impossible to run more than 1 active AV on Windows 10 AU if the application adhere to the Microsoft guidelines, which is what we do. Any attempt to enable Windows Defender will automatically turn EAM off and vice versa.

That doesn't actually run Windows Defender parallel to EAM but just does an on-demand scan every now and then, just like the MSRT has done for years now. It won't interfere with EAM.

Does this also apply to other AV software?

I would think so. At least once they all updated to officially support Windows 10 AU.

The question is if only File Guard was disabled, could EAM still be used with another AV?

-EDIT- Appears turning off File Guard makes no difference. Win 10 ver 1024 still sees EAM as a AV solution.

Is there any way to run EAM with another AV in Win 10 AU? Perhaps turn it on after boot time?

Anyone else get a bunch of these detections just recently?:

    Setting.DisableTaskMgr (A)
    Setting.DisableCMD (A)
    Setting.DisableRegistryTools (A)
    Setting.NoRun (A)
    Setting.NoFolderOptions (A)

I'm not sure what's going on, the task manager is working, command prompt works. Are these false positives?

Sometimes I get this kind of detection with EAM, imo it is a false positive because everything works fine here.

Are these alerts from the behavior blocker? Sometimes malware try to change these type of system settings.

No, they show up during an on-demand scan.

When I had this some time ago, IIRC it was because I was also running WSA. Emsisoft Support told me WSA had probably modified those keys and to ignore it. I whitelisted them.

I may have asked this question before also , but ransomwares are increasing , so do I need something like MBAR or ZAM premium alongside EIS ?

A prime focus of Emsisoft has been and is currently on strengthening EMIS's defenses against ransomware. It is said to be very good already.

I suffer from an extreme case of "Crypto-Whatever" Phobia. I run EMIS 11 with Watchdog Antimalware Premium - Real Time (rebranded ZAM Premium sold by an authorized US marketing arm of Zemana) and HitManPro Alert Beta. Fabian Warsaw has stated that there is no conflict between running EMIS with ZAM - but not sure if he was referring to ZAM Premium.

In any event, it terms of apparent conflicts or sluggishness I observe none, though it is possible that under the hood my paranoia may have lessened the effectiveness of any one or more of the three. I am willing to accept that risk because they make me FEEL better :)

    (Psst:I also run MBAE Anti-Exploit.)

(Nevertheless, I'm using HMPA together with EAM without issues.)

So far the only discounts I saw for Emsisoft products are through Softexia. Anyway, the real discount starts once you become a "loyal" user. As years goes by, the renewal will get lesser cost and up to 60% off (if not mistaken). Furthermore, Emsisoft also comes with a free product for every purchase occassionally. Some are good too like Adguard, Revo (currently), Softmaker, etc.

Anyone else getting a detection on the BleachBit uninstaller? Where do we submit potential false positives?
