Just got this bad text on screen after waking up the PC from sleep mode: Now I restarted the PC and the screen is just fine. Any idea what's wrong? Windows 10 Anniversary update issue or a bad GPU? Thank you.
Things to help diagnose: - Monitor cable is ok (swap them to see) - Cable to monitor is properly seated on both ends - Reinstall graphics drivers (use DDU to remove the old ones completely) If none of those things help, we can look into it more.
The issue is back and I noticed a weird thing: that picture was taken with my phone; if I take a screenshot using print-screen or any other screenshot tool the screen looks fine. So at this point I''m not sure what it can be, the monitor, the cable? the GPU?
If you have on-board graphics. Switch off or uninstall/disable the discrete graphics reboot & then see what you got. Maybe even let it run the integrated graphics a for a couple days.
Huh? If you take a screen shot, say with Windows built in "Snipping Tool" and it look fine in the snip but not on the monitor, then that suggests the monitor is the problem. I certainly would try a different monitor and see what happens. That is easy to do and if the problem shows up there, then at least you have eliminated your original monitor from the equation.
