this is disappointing - so is the lack of information on what is in the ZAL beta - I assume the BB & SSL protection is functional? I guess the up coming MRG-Effitas tests will give an idea if it's included. ZAL and ZAM have both been doing well.

Not sure if anyone is experiencing this, but let me try to explain:

When I have ZAL installed on Win10 64 bit, the "activity" cursor (the spinning circle next to your mouse cursor) strobes on and off every half second or so, constantly. Shutting off ZAL immediately fixes this issue. Not noticing any excess disk/memory/RAM performance issues or spikes that would indicate something is actually working excessively in the background.

Setup right now is Webroot AV, BMAM pro, MBAE free, ZAL, and that stupid Windows Defender periodic crap that came in the Windows AU last week.

I have 3 PCs with Win 10 64 bit - all of them have different scenarios where this occurs, but none with ZAL. One with Virtualbox running, another with the start menu open... I have only fixed one source - a dysfunctional touch-pad controller.

I've reported this to the Zemana-team as I experience it too. They replied this is a known issue and will be fixed in a future release. You should disable ID-protection as a workaround. I never did that as the cursor glitch isn't annoying enough to justify a lowered protection level.

Blinking cursor is now fixed! I can confirm!

Also, I couldn't typ anything in Start Meny or Windows Store - ZAL blocked it. Now it's fixed too!

Using SpywareShelter's Anti-Test tool, ZAL 2.21.204.465 Beta blocks execution of the tool & quarantines it. ZAL is passing the Keylogging test, Webcam, sound - fails screen capture, clipboard, and system tests

has anyone asked Zemana support about this?

    Awesome, thanks for the update!

Now, to try to decide... I have a lifetime license to MBAM, and now one for ZAL. Which to use alongside Webroot... Hmm...

Thanks. That's the story of my life, a day late and a dollar short. Oh and apologies to the non-americans that never heard of this saying. :p

I have updated to 2.21 and so far I have had no problems.
It isn't clear though what features are common to Zemana Antimalware and what are specific to Zemana Antilogger.

Where is the "System Intrusion Protection". This is mentioned in the PDF "brochure" you can download from the zemana website. Is it part of the real time protection, or part of the ID theft protection.

Also does anyone know how IntelliGuard+ works. Is it a whitelist, a blacklist or both?

IntelliGuard+ is/was the cloud module in the previous version 1.9. It made use of a VirusTotal API though that didn't define IntelliGuard+ tech.

I don't see any mention of IntelliGuard+ in the brochure I downloaded, Zemana AntiLogger brochure_2016.pdf

Pandora is the cloud module in version 2. A replacement for IntelliGuard+ or new tech? Who knows?

The Zemana Web site of a while back was far, far more informative. Before the almost universal adaptation of the featureless monotone rectangle, big font, less words, scroll-wheel enslaved "modern metro" model.

This is the IG+ setting pane in 1.9:

    ZAL19IGCloud.jpg

For your convenience, AntiLogger settings, um setting, in "ZAM Plus" has been reduced to one check box. Unless that's changed since I ran and rejected v2 some weeks ago. I'm staying with 1.9 until it goes EOL, which it has not yet.

only freewares are now allowed to use VirusTotal or u need part of virustotal to use it. im sure that is the reason why they dont use it anymore. but they dont need it. the detectionrate now is better than almost all avs if you turn on pandora sandbox. even without pandora beats it most antivirus products by easy+the removal is top notch.

From my understanding, it now automatically tries to block malicious actions via the "ID theft protection" feature, but it doesn't alert you anymore. So if you need full control over app behavior, Zemana isn't the right tool, they basically killed the user controlled HIPS.
