Must be my hp laptop :(...Anyway, I had an epiphany!...It suddenly dawned on me that VS was a infinitely more important security item than secureboot so off with secureboot and install VS...I'm a happy cat now...purr :)

Personally I always Exit VS before installing a new version. Additionally I stop and delete the VS Service.

    Delete VS Service.jpg

Then delete the following using a script:
    <UVKCommandsScript>
    <SDelete>

    C:\Program Files\VoodooShield
    C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield

Then reboot before installing VoodooShield. I'm not saying that this is the correct way but it works for me.

I have just installed VoodooShield 3.31 beta and It automatically added some my unsigned .exe files to white-list . I curiously want to know how VS recognized those unsigned *.exe is safe because it not add to white-list all my unsigned files?

He's not trusted as he changed his username from Illumination and you know him right, and he told me he quit MT because he had issues with the management. He did the same at the Webroot Community..... And I don't trust any YouTube testers of any kind.

Honestly, the tester personal issues with others doesn't impact my judgement about a test, (and as you said i know him quite well) so i know he wouldn't make a biased test. I just look at how test was made then make my judgement based only on it.

What are the difference between a serious youtube testers and test labs? the lab have more cash , more machines , more time ; except that they proceed exactly the same way:

    1- they collect FUD malwares
2- use a system fully updated
3- use an security product updated
    4- froze the system
    5- launch the malwares
6- check how the security soft behave.

Nothing mystic on it. Personally i take test labs and Youtube testers as informative sources about a product , because the only tester i trust is myself.

  8. The only person that has a problem with me is you, and it has been that way since we met. My tests are thorough and non-biased. I test the product for what it is designed to do. If you do not like them, then why respond to guests post, why not skip on down to the next post, or you just have nothing better to do.

Well this is the Wilder's Security Forum rules about YouTube testers and I agree with Mike: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/posting-policy-recommended-threads.180128/#post-1041384

Sorry I will not go into a Public Battle with you, this will be the last time I reply to you anywhere. Read the Rules above as well.

    Thanks,

Triple Helix you're attitude drove me away from Webroot, please don't do the same with VoodooShield. I would hate to waste a lifetime license.

Wouldn't windows built in Applocker provide the same level of security as voodooshiled ?

if you are on Win10 home , you don't have it. VS use VT so average user will have more infos to block or allow.

Also Applocker lacks of the VoodooAi artificial intelligent engine to help determining safety of files. ;)

Hey guys, I will catch up soon... but here is the latest version, and here is what was fixed:

    1. Custom Folders should be working perfectly now, if not, please let me know guest!
    2. TH, I believe the Disabled Protection block is now fixed, if not, please let me know! As far as the USB issue is concerned... VS only toggles to ON when a USB is first inserted, otherwise, if a user constantly has a USB drive attached, VS would always be ON. If this does not make sense, please let me know!
    3. As far as dismhost is concerned, I went back to the old way of dealing with dismhost, and simply hardwired in all 16 or so versions of dismhost. So it should be fixed now, if not, please post a screenshot of the Hash of the dismhost file that was blocked.
    4. I added a feature that will safely reduce the number of command line and script blocks (long story).
    5. I temporarily disabled the VoodooAi Cloud default process lookup... there is a chance that this is what was causing the freeze issue.

Please let me know how it does, and if it freezes or not, thank you!

Edit: If anyone is running the SBS version, if you do not mind, can you please run it for another couple of days, just to see if VS freezes? Thank you!

The SBS beta has been running perfectly since you announced it a few days ago. No freezes or any other issues. Is there any benefit to me updating to this latest beta?

Hey faircot... great point, sorry I did not mention this.

If anyone is running the SBS version, if you do not mind, can you please run it for another couple of days, just to see if VS freezes? Thank you!

Dan the toggle on when inserting an USB makes sense to me, since most USB related malware is based on autorun. This keeps smart mode smart.

Great to hear you are making progress with the freeze issue and the many faced dismhost

Dan the dismhost.exe is fixed on my PC. As for the freeze, I never had any problems.

Thank you so much for your hard work.:)
