Just switched to KIS 17, & when I look a FF's add ons I have:

Kaspersky Protection & uBlockOrigin - should I delete uBlock? Does KAV protection do the things uBlock does?

    Thanks
    Rico

AFAIK it doesn't replace uBlock Origin (block ads as minimum) so I would let it be installed.

Delete KAV fully and forever, but let the uBlock stays there. Do not install useless malware.

i really thought same this second i read the answer ^^

reason: if kaspersky is working properly its detection concerning adware is poor - or incredible bad in general.
if not, firefox will have issues with its extension, same troubkle since years, kaspersky never had them ready right in time (2 weeks later in most times) and firefox have nuts. and users pay for nuts, KIS/KAV are not really cheap in comparison with some lifetime licenses.
(same for any other full blown suite)

there are some more if you use windows 10 and nowerdays RS1 (Redstone=1607).

in fact since windows 8 the windows defender is best choice. additional malwarebytes free (or if some like premium), uBlock for any browser.

uBlock is really powerfull, from my view the best ad-kicker these times.

and - it makes no sense to use some antivirus which always need to clean up what a browser have missed. and for unknown software the is sandboxie. use MBAM on detection in sandbox.

I have absolutely no problem with KIS 2016 and ublock.
KIS is always at the top for years.
And Kaspersky extension works now with Firefox updates.
