Interesting tool that I don't really need, but they did try to make it as simple as possible, what I like. On the other hand, it's not clear why some apps and services are automatically permitted or blocked, and there is no sorting option. And apparently it doesn't work correctly according to other posts, so it needs some work.

    Hi all

    Evorim Free Firewall 1.2.7.16205

    • Delayed or wrong notification about new applications, which connect to the Internet.
    • Einige Anwendungen wurden durch die Firewall Blockade instabil und stürzten ab.

Anyone have more information about what extra section settings do exactly
For the tracking it's using IP's?
And for the remote access data what rules it he adding exactly?

This is no privacy program, as you can see the connections attempted before the browser was even opened.
    Pure garbage.
There was so many attempts for an outbound connection by this trash, I could not upload all of them.

    Thanks for the tip..

Since I will probably be losing Outpost Pro, am still looking for a replacement.:(

I know the feeling, being a long term OP user myself with a life-time license.
The only alternative I found was EIS. Had no attacks or malware yet. Combined with the other great programs out there it is as good as OP.
I don't trust any windows firewall / controller, for privacy. Especially this dog. Not your dog, I love dogs!

I will be giving up licenses for 6 computers.

    Yes, I am near tears.;)

For the first time ever I tried Windows Firewall on my only Windows 10 computer. Had never even seen it before and it asked for permission to accept something that tried to get in. Can't even remember what it was all about but I will continue to use it.

So are you saying that it couldn't block Windows telemetry or does it also phones home?

Just saying, after installing then turning on the internet, all these connections were blocked by my custom host file in EIS.
It can't be good for privacy when making all those connections. This is from the EVORIM program only.

Yes, but I assume those connections were made by M$ and not by Free Firewall? But if I understood correctly, instead of disabling those connections related to Windows Telemetry, it actually enabled them. I think this app has got potential, but something about it feels funny.

Once I saw those connections (right after installing) took this program off (restored image), never happened before or after (these connections).
The program is the one that is trying to make these as I said happened immediately I did not even open up a browser.
Guess not much is free anymore without some cost. Be careful with this program if you value privacy.

Probably is because the software, updates... are hosted in Azure
I don't see any problem with it unless we get more information
On the other hand there is no evidence that these connections were made by Evorim software
    What software generated those pop-ups?

I know I've posted this before, but I'm also still an xp user. For quite a while, I used Outpost Pro, but switched to Private Firewall a couple years ago. It's worked great for me -- and it's free.

What kind of evidence? Installed this crap re-booted and here you go.
    ALL MADE BY EVORIM.
Test your self so you can be sure. Use StevenBlacks host list. https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts
If it was updates very unlikely, they occurred in the first minute.
Use it, love it I don't care, just showing the results I got.

It might be a coincidence and windows itself was trying to connect home.
Your screenshots don't show what program is trying to call microsoft so they don't prove anything.
If you are that paranoid about your privacy don't use windows, a host list doesn't protect you

Never got these before or after (uninstalling).
Like I said, use it/love it, no privacy off my back.

Windows is contacting home anyway no matter what host list you use

No notices since I restored image (removed EVORIM), and none before the installation.
You can say the program is for privacy, I disagree.
Are you the provider of this program?

We have had direct contact with Evorim. This is an extract from their reply:

"We never had collected any telemetry in the past, nor we do it at the moment.

The only connection to internet is, when the firewall asks the server for updates. No user personal information are transmitted!

You can use WhireShark to inspect all connection made by the Free Firewall!"
