    Interesting! With so much in life to do, why would someone waste time on the internet?!
    Strange... in many years of using the internet, I've never encountered a fake "you are infected" sczm except when I've tested a reported site.

    I wonder how he does it.

    Me neither. I guess it depends on what one does and where they go.

    An example of a fake alert scam was mentioned recently here on Wilders. Seems boredog was attempting to download a torrent in that instance.

    TonyW yes and ESET only had a def for that on july 1st and it peaked on 7/25, that day it hit me. so it was pretty new detection.

    From what I've seen, it looks like it was a new variant on a classification they've had since 2009.
