do any of you know if Kevin m from bo clean is still working for this company? I remember a few years ago see a blog from him as to why he was not getting along with this company anymore. in fact if I go back through some old emails I had with him I can maybe find the reason again.

according to Kevin they were going down the wrong path from the emails I got.

So the AV is still the same? They are not going to implement their new cloud AV? This company as always is going backwards

 

Stable version works just fine here. It will be fun watching everyone trash it just because it is Comodo.

 

LOL if it one were because the product name is Comodo.
Right now they have a cloud av released as stable of which the cloud AV doesn't work because the servers are down so they aren't protecting their users. And this is just one more bad decision after another

 

CFW is almost bulletproof thanks to cruel sister taking time to share the knowledge to set it right. And you are worried about their antivirus? Sorry , working perfect it would be marginal just like any antivirus this day in age. Judge the whole product would be more than fair just as the protection is.

 

The sandbox works just fine without Valkyrie. However I do agree that they should not have released the product without the main backend fully functional.

 

Don't be harsh. Comodo just left Cloud Nine to return back from the future.

It is ComoDO and ComoDON'T, looks like Comodo's Time Machine is in operation again?

 

In 10 they introduced feature which will be available only for Premium (paid) users. It's Secure Shopping. As I see from description it creates environment protected from other OS. So in case of infection or some malicious activity this environment is protected. As it should be for Banking/Shopping.

What they offer in Virtual Desktop (earlier Virtual Kiosk) is vice versa - the OS is protected from Virtual Desktop. This environment is not suitable for Banking/Shopping.

 

I'm quite disappointed. More than 2 years just to have some cosmetic changes and a new feature that will be available only in the paid version? And where is Valkyrie integration?

CIS is not antivirus. This thread should be moved to "other anti-malware software" IMO.

As @Blackcat has mentioned he did work for them, so it's now history.
I am sure if you are wanting info and conducted a search the story is archived all over the internet as to reasons why he left etc.
As i said this subject is not relevant to a thread about a new Comodo product.

So what are folks feeling about this CIS10 so far ?

I agree. I've had more problems with Bitdefender than I ever did with Comodo..

 

Of course I'm not wrong. CIS is not antivirus. Actually the AV part is the last line of defense and is there for usability reasons only. I'm quoting Comodo staff here.

 

Same here -- but, as it turns out, a few of those "problems" were actually undocumented intended behaviors.

 

Then where this thread should be allocated? I don't see other places.

I'm reluctant to try it. Nothing special over 8.4.0.5068. Now I don't have any Comodo on my PC. If I return to Comodo then to that even not latest of 8.

Btw why not CIS 9? The latest was 8. Is that "Secure Shopping" means 2 giant steps forward?
