After May results I was expecting an improvement in June, not a step back.

    That's why.

The system impact varies greatly between different antiviruses using Bitdefender's scan engine. The only execption is antivirus which are a rebrand of Bitdefender.

Youse crack me up. Your familiarity with Bitdefender is at best casual and categorically a decade in deficit.

Tossing the timeworn and now imprecise phrase "Bitdefender Engine" into posts works against any credibility in the discussion - for Vipre, F-Secure, Emsisoft etc. etc. Only noobs and the unstudied think that makes anyone sound smart. It explains nothing. You have over 8500 posts between you and you won't express within the construct of SDKs?

The ageless signature based BD Core and heuristic B-HAVE scanners (the original engine) still carry on in BD Internet Security but it contains also a multitude of process and network engines and components, an intricate behavioral analyzer in its Active Virus Control and cloud components. That entirety can not and should not be expressed as "Bitdefender Engine."

The Bitdefender clone (or rebrand) has been extinct for quite some time.

If Vipre IS Pro were a BD clone, then it would include the Ransomware Protection module. It does not.

While Vipre implements some BD SDKs, the totality of the product is those with a considerable allocation of tech they roll on their own.

Perhaps AV-C themselves should use the term Bitdefender SDK instead of Bitdefender engine in their footnotes relating to the above anti-malware products.

Example from their latest File Detection Test from March 2016:

Sorry, but you are wrong here. Bitdefender still offer Re-brading, you can see in the link posted by @guest .

I dont know why people are so fascinated by Vipre, it is all about Bitdefender and other's people work and I cant respect that.

Vipre case is much different from F-Secure or Emsisoft technology, they are just a copy cat that couldnt deal with malware with their own resources.

The question is if Vipre is actually a good product; IMO it is, but they dont deserve the "OMG so amazing" reactions here on Wilders, they didnt had a technology revamp like some people think, they just had a good and almost full integration of Bitdefender technology (Nimbus cloud, AVC, BD Core).

You have to hand it to Kaspersky, they always do exceedingly well.
